When the various hosts arrived for Host Club today, they might notice that Reno was pacing around the music room, his arms crossed, an eyebrow raised. Tamaki was nowhere in sight.

This proved problematic, so far as princely duties were concerned.

"I'm sure as heck not callin' myself the Host Club King," Reno mumbled, looking around the room. He'd pulled out a couple of tables, some chairs, and made a halfhearted attempt at making the flowers that had been out two weeks ago look... semi-presentable. Reno wasn't so great with flowers, really.

There was no tea in sight. What Reno had smuggled into the room in a coke bottle, there, may or may not be alcoholic. It was difficult to say, really.

What was important to note, here, was that he was making at least a bit of an attempt to do Tamaki's club at least a little justice, here.

[OOC: I seem to have inherited a Host Club! Sorry this is up semi-late, DST and a Sweeney Todd poster managed to break my schedule. As usual, the Host Club is open for anyone to drop in and enjoy!]

Sokka shrugged. Okay, so Reno was clear and blameless, then. But he narrowed his eyes at Barney. It was ON.

Then he leaned a little closer to Reno and grinned evilly. "WARK!" It was a pretty good imitation of a chocobo, for someone who'd never heard one.

Reno raised an eyebrow.

"You know, I'm all outta Shrivel, but I can turn you into a toad any time I want to," he said. Very calmly.

It was possibly a bad idea to wark at Reno when he was that calm.

"Hey, that's not fair!" Sokka insisted. "I'm only following instructions! It's not like I've even SEEN your butt, yet!"

"Yet? What, you think I'm gonna pull my pants down and let you have a good look at my ass?" There was something very seriously wrong with Sokka's head, perhaps? "You musta' been talkin' to Rikku."

"She seemed to think you should?" Sokka replied, with a wicked grin. "She said a description wouldn't do it justice."

"Never thought you'd be so anxious to get an eyeful of another guy's ass," Reno mused. "I ain't your type, man."

"Trust me, I do NOT want to see your scrawny, pasty butt again. It's what's ON the butt that I'm interested in."

Snort.

"What, you figure it's humiliatin' or somethin', havin' a chocobo on my ass?"

"Well, apparently Rikku does." Sokka grinned. "But I'm sure it's a very MANLY cute little birdie."

"You got any tattoos, Boom?"

"Not yet," Sokka replied. Because he SO TOTALLY was going to, at some point. It was, like, one of the rules of awesome. "But when I do, it's not going to be of a STRANGE MUTANT OSTRICH-HORSE, and it's not going to be on my BUTT."

Reno pointed to the red marks on his face.

"Get back to me about my ink when you actually got the balls to go out and get some of your own, Boom. I already got th' ones that count, zoto. The chocobo just means I was havin' a damn good night, don't you think?"

"Bah," Sokka replied, waving a hand dismissively. "I think it just means you made an ass of yourself."

He was right about the ink, though. Sokka'd have to rectify that soon.

"Wark," Reno replied, sticking out his tongue. "Not like anyone's gonna see it, so I don't figure it's too big a problem, yo. Just means I'm out a couple hundred - bucks? And there's a drunk bird on my ass."

"Oh, it's DRUNK?" Sokka asked, with a grin. "That I HADN'T heard."

"What, you thought I was gonna get somethin' like that inked permanently to my behind without at least including something I actually like in the picture? 'S got a bottle of mezcal too, zoto." Reno, at least, figured that the booze was totally a redeeming quality of his ass-chocobo.

Sokka took the complete opposite view vis-à-vis the ass-chocobo, and expressed said view by laughing loudly.

Reno responded by smiling pleasantly and raising a fist.

Sokka responded by smiling pleasantly and bumping his fist against Reno's. "Rockin'."

"Better be," Reno smirked. "Damn thing cost enough. You don't wanna find an early grave, Boom, don't go runnin' around tellin' everyone about it."

Rikku was doing a good enough job of that as it was, it would seem.

"Of course not!" Sokka insisted. "I'm hurt that you'd even suggest that. I won't tell anyone, I promise!"

Except Ron, of course. And whoever else it came up in conversation with.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm sure your heart's bleedin', here." Reno rolled his eyes and gave a shake of his head. "Whatever. Just makin' sure you can't say I didn't warn you when you find my boot so far up your ass that you're spittin' leather."

"Yeeeeaah, I don't want to know what YOU'VE been doing, but on me that wouldn't fit at all."

"Trust me, Boom. I'll make it fit."

Sokka raised his voice, so he could be heard over the other conversation in the room. "Look, I REALLY don't want to talk about your strange desire to shove things up my butt!"
