Karal smiled at everyone, hoping no one noticed the bunny prints on the library floor.

"I'm not sure if this will work, but I made lots of little paper squares," Karal put a box on the table, and some large squares of cardboard, with grids marked on them, "with the letters of the languages we've been learning. I thought we could get into pairs, or groups, and play a multi-language version of the game of scrabble."

He winced.

"That's unfortunate," he said. He'd read up on relationships most of the day. Gay male relationships, but some things remain the same.

"Did they mind?"

"Apparently he kind of liked the idea," said Hoshi, who was still confused by that. "I avoided him for a couple weeks, and then when I finally went to apologize, he was so frazzled over Valentine's Day that he totally missed what I was saying. I ended up getting him suit and tie to wear to the dance. His girlfriend loved it so much that she found me at the dance to thank me."

"Do you know Turtle and Jeff?" asked Hoshi. "Turtle is the one I kissed. She stopped by my room on the wrong day."

"I met Turtle. She's very nice."

"She is," agreed Hoshi. "When I first got here, I had no idea how to use money and she helped me out with that. Plus, she was totally cool with the kissing thing. Jeff is nice, too, but he's a little harder to get to know."
