Library, Wednesday [ 03/05 ]

Adah limped into the library for her shift a little bit late, clutching onto some tea and carefully making it toward the desk. She realized, of course, that the rabbit in her messenger bag would still get knocked in the head a few times with the books in there even if she could walk straight and even, so she at least wanted to get to sitting down quickly so she could set down the tea and take out the books. The bunny could stay in there if she wanted; Adah didn't really care. So there she was, with tea, new books, a rabbit, and too many thoughts inside her head. She should try juggling next.

If you're there for the first part of it, you're out of luck, but the second part of it is filled with Adah just trying to get herself situated and out of a mindset where she wasn't just boggling over strange, delusional men in the park. That tended to put a skew on your morning that just didn't seem to want to set itself straight, believe you me.

Second Period -- 03/05

Working on organizing some of the books that needed to be returned to the shelves, Adah was wondering if perhaps the bunny in her bag had taken more damage from the books than she assumed, considering she hadn't moved at all since they got here.

A quick poke at her bag and the ensuing little scuffling and odd little noise that accompanied it told her that she wasn't a rabbit murderer quite yet.

Third Period -- 03/05

The books were sorted, although still not shelved, as Adah was going to read for a bit and get them later during the day.

Read and, after Bob had finally emerged from where she was sleeping in Adah's bag, making a little hat out of paper for the bunny's head. It even had her name on it, but it was mostly out of her own convenience so she wouldn't have to tell anyone if they asked.

Lunch -- 03/05

As the library's only open to the Librarian and Adah's fellow aides, she didn't think anyone would be too bothered (i.e. get in the way of) by the fact that she fed her rabbit by enticing her a moment with a piece of food and then tossing it somewhere in front of the desk and making her go fetch it if she wanted it.

Fourth Period -- 03/05

In the shelves with the book cart, Adah's progress in putting the books away was even slower than usual, considering that she had a slowly hopping bunny to wait for. She tried to get Bob to just ride on the cart, but she wouldn't have anything of it. The damn thing was stubborn. It was just about the only thing that actually endeared Adah to her.

Fifth Period -- 03/05

Last period and all was well. She found that bringing the rabbit to the library with her provided a nice distraction from having to do things like thinking about certain things, but then she noticed Bob nibbling on the edges of one of a book. Eyes wide, Adah almost smacked the rabbit off the desk, but she managed to simply grab the rabbit and pull her back away from the desk and into her lap. "None of that now..."
