Welcome to the study hall for Tuesday. If anybody's looking for me, the gremlins are on an upswing today, so I'll be prowling around with a cricket bat and a CD player with Music To Bash Things With.

A few announcements:

-- Please go here to participate in the roll call of student clubs so that we can make sure that all student clubs are accounted for.

-- The student body is reminded that any student going to Homecoming will need to purchase tickets. Homecoming elections will be held this Friday, and Homecoming is this upcoming weekend. Also, in student council news, the Student Council Election Debates will be held Wednesday night, with the election itself taking place on Monday.

-- In other news, five teaching positions will be listed later on today for your perusal. We are in need of new teachers, so please check that out when the post is made.

-- For some fucking reason, Locker 327 has been in reverse all morning long and has been randomly spewing strange things into the halls. Someone should be repairing it later in the week, but until then, be aware of the dangers and be on guard accordingly.

-- In related news, there's a mime loose on campus. And no, you're not allowed to kill it. You are, however, allowed to mock and point.

"I leave these questions to the philosophers," Angelus replied. "You don't strike me as being crazy."

"You've never seen me with an axe." Wednesday took a chair and looked at him thoughtfully. "Is the button a diversion or an ironic statement?"

"It's an attempt to help those members of Fandom High who seem obsessed with labelling," Angelus told her. "What's holding an axe got to do with sanity?"

"The axe is a contextual thing," Wednesday told him, folding her hands, "and labels are often misleading, particularly when it comes to something which is nothing less than a four-letter word denigrating a particular point of view."

"Fair enough," Angelus said. "Though I should warn you it takes a lot of context before I think axe-using is crazy. Mind you, make a mess on the carpet and it's a whole 'nother ball game."

Wednesday gave him a blank look. "Leaving evidence is for amateurs."

"This is what I try to tell Spike but does he listen?" Angelus asked, mostly rhetorically. "Of course not."

"Then you should probably not associate with him," Wednesday advised in all seriousness. "Sloppiness of that nature can lead to all sorts of unfortunate consequences. Mobs. Pitchforks. Fire."

((OOC: *mad laughter*))

"This is exactly what I've been saying!" Angelus said, with the grateful tone of joy in finding someone who agrees with him. "Unfortunately I can't not deal with him. He's family. You know how that goes."

Wednesday grimaced. "There was a family intervention last week for Aunt Jane. Overnight she went from a promising channeler of serial killers to a soccer mom in good standing with the PTA. Thankfully the intervention was a success, but you never know when this sort of thing might strike."

Angelus looked geniunely horrifed. "No, soccer mom? Man, I give you credit for being willing to admit to the relation, even after the fact."

Wednesday folded her hands primly. "Not everyone can claim iron control and occasionally there are extenuating circumstances. It turns out that Aunt Janet accidentally channelled a recently deceased devotee of Martha Stewart and it just... stuck. Poor woman. We found an entire tray of lemon bars marked for the volunteer students at the church car wash. We disposed of them, of course."

"Practically a community service," Angelus said. "Of course, it's practically community service. But you do what you can in circumstances like that."

"Suburbanites are the subject of my paper for Professor Grissam's class on Deviancy," Wednesday told him, sighing. "I have far more material now on the topic than I ever wanted."

"Good choice," Angelus said, appreciatively. "I had to go for 18th century sex practices. Kind of boring but I figured easy A."

Wednesday blinked at him. "I suppose deviancy is a matter of perspective, after all."

"True enough," Angelus said. "I mean missionary - what's that about?"

"In our circles, missionary is an entree," Wednesday pointed out, a thoughtful look on her face. "Of course, that's just the South Pacific branch of the family."

"They always repeat on me," Angelus, said, rubbing his stomach. "That's why I tend to go full-on religious figure or not at all. Too muddled otherwise."

OOC: *piously* It's that sort of question that my canon does its best never to answer directly. You'll have to go have a look at the burial. The mounds are suspiciously human shaped, but I shall say no more.
