Study Hall -- Tuesday, October 4th

Welcome to the study hall for Tuesday. If anybody's looking for me, the gremlins are on an upswing today, so I'll be prowling around with a cricket bat and a CD player with Music To Bash Things With.

A few announcements:

-- Please go here to participate in the roll call of student clubs so that we can make sure that all student clubs are accounted for.

-- The student body is reminded that any student going to Homecoming will need to purchase tickets. Homecoming elections will be held this Friday, and Homecoming is this upcoming weekend. Also, in student council news, the Student Council Election Debates will be held Wednesday night, with the election itself taking place on Monday.

-- In other news, five teaching positions will be listed later on today for your perusal. We are in need of new teachers, so please check that out when the post is made.

-- For some fucking reason, Locker 327 has been in reverse all morning long and has been randomly spewing strange things into the halls. Someone should be repairing it later in the week, but until then, be aware of the dangers and be on guard accordingly.

-- In related news, there's a mime loose on campus. And no, you're not allowed to kill it. You are, however, allowed to mock and point.

Kiki enters and sits. She pulls out an antique copy of the "Three Musketeers," and keeps her eyes open for harried_potter as she opens it.

"Why can't we," she wonders out loud before she starts reading, "just use the mime to plug up Locker 327? I mean, it would be a good temporary fix, wouldn't it?"

Chihaya slogged in and collapsed into the chair next to Kiki. "There's a mime loose? Shouldn't they be liscensed or something? Kept on leashes..."

"I wish!" Kiki nods. "How have you been, Chihaya? I haven't seen you in a while!"

Blushing, Chihaya ducked his head and looked around. "After all the excitement last week with the debate about," his voice dropped to a whisper, "guns," he shrugged. "I needed to take a break. All the high emotions...I'm sorry I didn't get with you like I said I would."

"Oh, that's alright, don't worry about it! It's just good to know you haven't disappeared like so many other students around here," Kiki grins. "You're still the first friend I really made here."

"You too!" he said cheerfully. "I've been seeing you about, how's the delivery business going?"

"Busy!" Kiki answers emphatically. "On top of my ordinary deliveries, I'm also taking on the role of delivery-girl for Mr. Wonka's Candy Shoppe in town as well as documents for the law firm of Wolfram and Hart. This is the first time in a week I've had to sit down and catch my breath."

"Wow!" Chihaya was really excited for Kiki and that her business was doing to well. "Hey, are you going to the homecoming thing? I haven't decided yet because I don't think Kagetsuya can come that weekend."

"I hadn't intended to, really - I figured I'd be working or something that night," Kiki admits, starting to blush, "but in study hall yesterday, I got asked! I could hardly believe it.

"You should call up Kagetsuya and see if she can go. I'm sure she'd love to see you, and I'd like to meet her, too."

"Um," Chihaya bit his lip and looked down at his notebook. His voice dropped to a whisper. "Kagetsuya's a... guy..." he forced a smile. But it's great someone asked you! You should say yes, if you haven't already."

Kiki turns beet-red with embarrassment.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry - I hadn't really heard you speak about him much, and I just assumed - I apologize! But that doesn't change anything: you absolutely should invite him to the dance, and I would still love to meet him." Kiki flushes again, and changes the subject.

"So the only thing I really need to work out is what I'm going to wear. Maybe I should find out what Harry's wearing? They say black goes with anything, but I'm really sick of black. This is my chance to get some color!"

Harry walks in, and sits down with Kiki and Chihaya. "Hi, I heard you needed a dress. Do you want to go to the vintage store this evening to find one? I need something too, I don't think formal robes are appropriate."

"Hi!" Kiki greets, grinning. "I left a message with Rogue - she's got a bunch of dresses on loan up in the East Attic, and she told me to come by this afternoon to try some on. Duce also said she could help me if I couldn't find anything; she's got a bunch of clothes. Even if I find something from Rogue, I'd love to go with you, though."

And Kiki, once again, blushes, for about the 23rd time today.
