Welcome to the study hall for Tuesday. If anybody's looking for me, the gremlins are on an upswing today, so I'll be prowling around with a cricket bat and a CD player with Music To Bash Things With.

A few announcements:

-- Please go here to participate in the roll call of student clubs so that we can make sure that all student clubs are accounted for.

-- The student body is reminded that any student going to Homecoming will need to purchase tickets. Homecoming elections will be held this Friday, and Homecoming is this upcoming weekend. Also, in student council news, the Student Council Election Debates will be held Wednesday night, with the election itself taking place on Monday.

-- In other news, five teaching positions will be listed later on today for your perusal. We are in need of new teachers, so please check that out when the post is made.

-- For some fucking reason, Locker 327 has been in reverse all morning long and has been randomly spewing strange things into the halls. Someone should be repairing it later in the week, but until then, be aware of the dangers and be on guard accordingly.

-- In related news, there's a mime loose on campus. And no, you're not allowed to kill it. You are, however, allowed to mock and point.

"Oh good. Two of my favorite people in this school," Beka says cheerfully as she slides into a seat next to Callisto.

You catch the drama at Lee's yesterday?

"No." And this is said with a guilty look Angelus's direction. "Been, ah, avoiding drama. ~~And Janet.~~ The whole homecoming thing is drama enough."

(OOC: We haven't retconned it yet, but as of two days ago, Beka and Jack are friends with benefits and Jack is going with someone else, and Beka is probably going with Shep. Because it was too funny to pass up. So, probably best to nod and pretend you have some clue what Beka's talking about. *g* We need to figure out the rooming thing and find a place. I was thinking of seeing if Dierdre had rooms at Amber House. That work?)

*nods knowingly*

You would have od'ed then. Janet kissed Lee in front of Thrace, then bitched Cally out when she tried to talk to her.

*startled laugh*

Wow. Go Janet. Guess someone else will be at the top of Thrace's shit-list for awhile. Heard she was gunning for me when I invited Lee to live with us.

As if. He's such a girl.

No Beka. Not "go Janet". There is something seriously off with her.

In case you didn't hear me, Janet. Bitched. Out. Cally.

Y'know Cally, cute little thing, wouldn't hurt a fly, but kills toasters stone dead.

She tries to show concern for Janet and she shuts her down like that. She nearly broke Crichton's wrist yesterday for doing the same thing. Does that sound like Janet to you?

*raises an eyebrow*

She was quite rude to me the other day. I chalked it up to hormone rush after being with Daniel. The outfit, the make-up, looked to me like a woman out to prove she could hold her man.

I left her alone after that. And Daniel. Seemed wisest to stay out of her hair.

Are you suggesting someone *eyes Crane, Wednesday, and various vaguely bizarre others* has done something to mess with her? *temper rising*

No, it's something else, everything about her is different. The way she talks, the way she moves, the way she acts, everthing.

*frowns and mutters*

I don't know what's wrong exactly, or who, if anyone, is to blame, but I'm trying to find out. But you losing your temper isn't going to help any.

If I run into her today, I'll see if I can learn anything.

I'm working on my temper. I won't do anything rash. I'm angry that someone or something may be hurting Janet. Not angry at her.

Just be careful. Janet's in full Bitch Queen of the Universe mode and isn't likely to take your concern for her wellbeing with good humour.

OOC: Either way? It's going to be very, very fun.

OOC: Actually, Camulus was originally supposed to be the instigator of the plot, but then his mun had to go away due to illness. :( The snaking scene was going to be much more angst-ridden and horrifying, but, ah, well. And while it's a good idea, I don't want to do anything involving accusing someone else's character of evil without that person being on and able to respond IC. Thank you, though! :)

You weren't exactly bad with with that gun either.

"Thanks. I'm hopin' I can get some trainin' and get better; it seems like it might come in usefull around here." She smiles. "So, do we have any idea what's wrong with Janet? She doesn't even seem human any more. She kinda moves like someone I know*, a little too smooth. You know?"

*Rogue is referring to Mystique, who she doesn't know is attending school here. Not trying to kill Janet's plot, promise. ^_^

And they never did actually meet. I just assume Rogue vaguely knows/recognizes who she was fighting with, even though she doesn't know them well at all.

I don't know what's wrong, but you're right about the way she moves. And it's bugging the Tartarus out of me, I know it but I can't place it.

We so need to have an encounter some time today. Why do you have to be so far away geographically that our time zones are completely incompatible? *wails in agony*

OOC: OMG, I was so not going to do that ooc, but Lee's mun wanted to go for maximum angst, and who am I to argue? I mean, Hathor would, after all. And I've got Hathor's ribbon device now! Hee!
