Peter got to the salle early to set out the practice swords, towels and water then spent the extra few minutes stretching out and running through a few drills of his own.

Once everyone else had come in, he sheathed Rhindon at his side, grinned somewhat sheepishly, and began speaking, assuming he'd gain people's attention. "I have to apologise about not being here last week," he said. "~~My mun's an idiot.~~ There was an - err - 'emergency' with some of the decorations for the dance last week, and that was probably the worst excuse I've ever had to make. Anyhow, it won't happen again."

"Why doesn't everyone go around and introduce themselves first today, perhaps explain his - or her - background with blades since I don't think everyone knows each other. I'm Peter Pevensie - you all probably know that. I'm a knight of Narnia, been training with swords since I was twelve or so. And I've learned at least as much here at Fandom as I had at home because everyone's different fighting styles. Oh, and I'm a senior so if one of you wants to possibly think about taking up the club next year after I go home."

He looked at the person closest to him. "You go ahead and start, if you'd like."

"Liir," he said.

"I learned drills the other week."

That was about all he had to say.

"Also," he added a moment later, "not usually green."

"My name is Sokka," he began with a grin. "I'm from a tribe of warriors living at the South Pole -- not the one here, a different one -- so I'm pretty familiar with weapons. I've been killing things with sharp pointy things since... about the time I learned to walk. They're just, you know. Usually smaller than people. More wet and wriggly. More scaly and/or furry." He shrugged. "I'm a boomerang, knife, and club sort of guy. But I do have some experience with swords being pointed at me. Usually, that sucks."

Liir warmed his muscles with a quick series of movements before starting to stretch, taking his time as he considered picking up an actual sword again for his drills. He'd been using the broom, after all.

Sokka warmed up with slow, wide, elegant movements that he totally butchered because he was way out of practice. Still, he got the blood and chi flowing, no matter how much his dad'd be facepalming.

Find a partner to spar with or work with forms yourself.

He tried to find something like the one that Peter had picked for him the last time. Eventually, though, he found the shoddiest of the lot and picked it up as he started go to through the drills he'd learned a couple of weeks ago.

He'd been practicing rather a lot, really. He hoped he hadn't learned it wrong.

Sokka picked up a practice sword and tried to remember the little he'd learned last time. He looked around for someone more experienced who could help.

Because he'll talk back.

Our faculty advisor.

He was there. And antsy. It was ANTM niiiiiight!

So help him, if he had to take anyone to the clinic for being a moron and missed it...

Cause I kinda like the world.
