Today Deadpool was feeling distinctly lazy.

He blamed television.

That might be why he put on a video for the class. Full circle, you see. Full circle.

"Before we start on interrigations next week, I wanted you kids to see how aninvestigation goes in real life," He told them seriously.

A beat.

"Well, real life if you're created by Dick Wolfe and love being overly dramatic, at least. Just go with it."

(Mmmm, L&O:SUV. My favorite show about car related crimes.)

Lana was looking tanned and very relaxed as she watched the show.

At some point during class a note was flung, lightly, in Lana's direction to land on her desk.

Good weekend?

Lana read the note and smiled a very happy and satisfied smile. She scribbled a note back and tossed it over to Ino.

Oh..... YES!!!

I'm glad things worked out for you!

She tossed the note back with a grin.

Me too. Beautiful villa in the mediterranean, sun and sand and water, good food. And just Chris and I.

She tossed the note back.

Now, Ino had no idea where the mediterranean was, but the rest of it was perfectly understandable.

That's so romantic! Did he surprise you with it then?

Well... he suggested we go away for the weekend and I suggested checking with my guardian to see if we could stay at his villa. So, not exactly a romantic surprise, but it worked out really well.

And much better than you spending the holiday weekend alone and with a book. Ino was quite certain of that. And, okay, maybe not a romantic surprise, but it still sounds really romantic.

Much better. Though I did still get some reading in. Lana grinned smugly as she wrote. Between... other things.

Other things? Ino grinned at Lana. That's the least sneaky way to imply that ever. I'm happy for you though.

What? Lana's eyebrows went up. I could have meant... swimming or taking long walks or, you know... scrubbing floors or something.

Of course, I'm not... And I'm happy too.

Scrubbing floors?

There was a bunch of muffled laughter coming from Ino's direction.

Think maybe that'll be my new euphemism.

Lana smirked.

Please, use that on someone and then tell me what their face looks like when they figure out what you're talking about.

Ino was giggling and not even trying to hide it by now.

Sorry. Can't make the party. I'll be, um... scrubbing the floors.

Lana was giggling too.

That's... that's... awful!

Lots of giggling.

Well, you know, if you're doing it right. And you're on the floor...

I... didn't need to have that image in my head. Thanks, Lana.

The laughter totally told the truth though about her opinion on all of this.

Oh, you know you were thinking about it.

Lana had to put a hand over her mouth to muffle her laughter.

She was probably going to break a rib from trying not to laugh really loud.

Lana smiled innocently.

I was not! That's awful!

But still with the giggling.

Well, not me, but the idea, the image... Come on, you can't deny you thought about it!

Lana was still laughing.

I... I... yeah, okay. I was. Happy now?

Completely. :)

Lana tossed the note back with a smug grin.
