Thank you for agreeing to meet with me on such short notice. I'm concerned with the format of the debates. As moderator, am I going to be required to direct the chaos that the town hall style will generate, or am I simply there to keep the debators within time limits? A referee, if you will?

"You are essentially a referee. Someone asks a question, you choose the first to answer. Keep an eye on the candidates and the students. Make sure no-one pulls any stunts. And make sure no-one gets into a fistfight."
