Library [01/24]

Bridge makes it to the library on time, though he's rubbing his eyes a bit sleepily. Who knew that two birds and a miniature squid could make so much noise all night?

Luckily, that is what his good friend Giant Cup of Coffee is for, and so that is how Bridge spends most of first period.

And now that he's actually feeling more awake, he's... off to class. And thus not here.

Back from class, Bridge is sitting at the circulation desk, carefully going over this week's class notes and typing them up in to his laptop.

Which is leftover pizza and moon pies from earlier in the week, of course.

Bridge spends fourth period wandering around with the returns cart, putting books back on the shelves. And stopping to flip through them every time he thinks something looks interesting.

And then during fifth period, he puts away the few remaining returns, tidies up the library, and gets everything ready for closing.

I think I have the plague :(

D: *snuggles Fake Teammate*

Sky stopped by the library after class, hoping that Bridge wasn't too busy to talk, and warily approached him.

"Hey."

"Hey, dude," Bridge looks up from his laptop and grins at Sky. "What's up?"

"I, ah, was just wondering..." Sky swallowed, and pasted on a confident smile. "If you're not busy after work, want to do something? Like... I don't know..." He knew his idea of fun, i.e. working out or studying, probably wouldn't appeal to Bridge, so he trailed off. "...hang out?" he finished lamely.

Actually, Bridge *does* kind of find studying fun, but hanging out is good too. "Sure," he says with a casual shrug. "That'd be cool."

"Oh! Good," said Sky. "I'll be in my room all afternoon, so whenever you're free, stop in..."

Awww...

As do I.

Blargh.

Mike didn't want to sit around his apartment and worry about Mary and her legal problems, so he hit the library to see what kind of resources were available for his students.

Bridge peeks out from behind the stacks as he hears the library doors open.

"Hi!" he waves to the new person. "Need help with anything?"

"Could you could point me in the direction of the computer books?" asked Mike.

"Sure!" Bridge says cheerfully, leading Mike over to the appropriate section. "Of course, there's nothing here published after 2007. Which, you might think would be obvious, but when you've got a school with people from all sorts of different times," he shrugs.

"I don't know. Some of my students might not be ready for all the futuristic stuff," said Mike, though he wouldn't mind getting a sneak peek at the future of technology. "Are there any law books as well?"

"This library's got books on just about anything you can think of," Bridge says by way of an answer.

"I think I could spend all day here," said Mike with a goofy grin.
