Student Council Meeting: Friday Lunchtime

Peter had gotten the normal pizzas and soda and set up the room for the first StuCo meeting of the new semester.

"Afternoon everyone," he said with a smile, still feeling odd heading meetings made possible by democracy.  "I don't have anything urgent on the agenda, but the February - err, the Valentine's Day dance is coming up, and we should start planning.  Last year our theme was chinchillas and nuclear holocaust.  Which went over fairly well all things considered.  Any one have any ideas for a starting point for us to develop a theme this year?"

"We're two weeks into the new term.  So perhaps we should think about some sort of way to continue to welcome the new students?  A party or free food always seems to go over well."

"Does anyone have any ideas that won't involve copious and potentially unlawful use of the color pink?"

Because, really, regarding this topic, that was Turtle's main concern.

Drawing in a breath, Turtle narrowed her eyes slightly at Peter. "Of course we do," Turtle said, and straightened her shoulders. "It's just my professional opinion that it be deftly and wholly avoided."

There was a pause.

"For the good of all mankind."

Turtle gave a very important nod, very deftly pretending to not notice that cough. "I knew," she said, "you'd understand."

"We could use red instead, no pink," Jenny suggested. "It's more romantic and less tacky."
