"C'mon, Gulliver.  Break's over, back to work."  Grinning down at the disgruntled panduppy, Anemone juggled her thermos of tea, stack of books, and her key ring to open the library.

No bribes, but a pot of fresh tea came out of the office.

And a librarian holding it, of course. The library wasn't that weird.

That was why he had brought an extra cup-- coffee mug.

"Ah, good. I will be your new librarian. A pleasure to meet you."

He smiled faintly, shaking his head. "I have already eaten. Would you like some tea? None of the other staff seems to care for it."

Not batting an eye at the automatic 'sir', He smiled again, pouring her a cup and then one for himself. "I was beginning to worry this place was far more strange than I thought. No tea."

"Yes," He nodded, sipping the tea calmly. "I had heard of a few of the more-- interesting stories. The former librarian was kind enough to leave me a letter on the unique nature of the Special Collections."

He nodded, taking in the information with a calm grace. "Should I retrieve a cup for your friend?" He asked, nodding toward the panduppy.

It never hurt to be polite.
