Combined Mathematics Final [Friday 12-21, Period 4]

"The time has come," the Canadian said, "to talk of many things. All of them are math. And you will be writing them, rather than speaking." Jean-Paul was not mean enough to give an oral exam.

Jean-Paul momentarily disappeared, and there was a breeze around the classroom. Then he was back in front of his desk and each student had an exam. "You may use calculators and scrap paper. Begin."

Peter wasn't panicking any more than he normally did over a final. Which was still a fair amount. He was a twitchy guy. But he did as well as would be expected from him taking a math final. That is, very well.
