"The time has come," the Canadian said, "to talk of many things. All of them are math. And you will be writing them, rather than speaking." Jean-Paul was not mean enough to give an oral exam.

Jean-Paul momentarily disappeared, and there was a breeze around the classroom. Then he was back in front of his desk and each student had an exam. "You may use calculators and scrap paper. Begin."

Rodney was totally calm about the test. This was almost ironic considering the fact that Rodney tended to panic frequently about lemons, bees, and all sorts of other things that didn't bother most people. However, he was extremely confident in his ability to pass this final with flying colors.
