John shrugs. "Not much. We're discussing Janet's odd behavior. And, to pull everything together, Janet got a little angry when I tried to make sure she wasn't running a fever earlier. Woman's got a kung fu grip. You seen her this morning?"

"You know, you're the second person today to mention Janet's weird behavior--Cameron said something about it this morning."

"I haven't seen Janet since Friday when I painted her with edible body paint and sent her over to Daniel's house . I dropped by yesterday, but she said she had a really bad headache. She never even opened the door."

Her brow furrowed in worry for her friend. If Daniel did or said anything dumb that had hurt Janet, it was going to get ugly.

"Yeah, I saw her briefly yesterday too. I live next door and could hear the racket of the dishes and voices and all. Saw her briefly and, I swear, she's wearing one of Aeryn's shirts. Aeryn, my girlfriend, who is not one to swap clothing. And, this morning, she's talking about herself in the third person and crushing my wrist. Something's up."

"Dishes and voices? Was Daniel really that bad in bed? Maybe Jack was right and he was gay. she yelling about anything or anyone in particular? And wearing Aeryn's shirt?"

Please tell me she asked Aeryn ahead of time so we don't have to figure out how to get tiny redheaded doctor out of the carpeting.

Then Crichton's words fully penetrated her brain and she became more alert. Maybe the tingles on the back of her neck yesterday meant more than she'd thought. Still, she couldn't air her suspicions yet. "Third person? And she crushed your wrist? Did her eyes glow?" Oh, Janet.

John scratches his head, mussing his hair. "Couldn't really tell. I'd still had a headache and Aeryn was there and were talking so I wasn't paying that much attention. Just, a talking in a very different tone then she usually does."

John nods quickly at Sam's run down of the events of the morning. "Yep, wrist crushed, third person speech. This...isn't PMS, is it?"

Even though she was deeply disturbed by what she'd heard about Janet, Sam couldn't help but roll her eyes at Crichton. Seriously, boys were so clueless. "No, John, PMS generally involves less wrist crushing and more chocolate."

"Oh." John leans back and considers. "Well, is it the flu? Some weird mutation?" Suddenly, a thought hits him. "The zombies. Could this be because of the zombies?"

Sam Carter has never been so happy for the phrase "Classified information" in her life. "Maybe it's just a bad case of the flu. Janet hates being sick. Doctors, you know? She's an absolutely horrible patient, too. Almost as bad as O'Neill."

OOC: Before I respond to Crichton--how much do you want people to know about what's going on? AFAIK, Sam's pretty sure she's got a Goa'uld on her hands, but has no idea which one, so she's not going to mobilize the estrogren troops *yet*.

OOC: *laughing* I so adore the way you've been playing this. And yeah, IMO, it's something John wouldn't think of unless it was pointed out to him. But Hathor's not going to be able to hide it for long either; she's too cranky.

((If she puts her head together with people who've seen what's going on? She'll be able to figure out something's up, but she's going to have to be near enough to Janet to sense the naquadah to figure out she's been taken over by a Goa'uld.))

OOC: Well, there's only one Goa'uld who ever talked about herself in the third person, but none of the guys are acting batty and loopy over her. So there's a bit of leeway there to decide if you can figure it out. Obviously, based on the icons and me saying so, yeah, it's Hathor. I'd say Sam could be suspicious, but maybe a confrontation would let her worm the truth of her identity out of her?

However you want to work it is okay with me (although the battiness and loopiness would be hugely fun to observe from a distance). A confrontation is good for me...but do you want me to let Crichton keep thinking it's some vague not PMS thing for a while first?
