Lifestyle Course, Seminar

Slartibartfast wanders down the corridor and into his classroom for the lifestyle seminar, and is somewhat surprised to see it still kitchen-shaped. He looks at his in-tray and sees no lifestyle essays whatsoever, and it takes him a few moments to realise that this is because he omitted to set an essay topic the previous week.

This calls for some quick thinking.

Ah, class, our topic this morning is all about thinking on your feet, adapting to circumstance, and making plans on the fly.
Please will each of you tell the group a little about how an ability to handle the unexpected can be an advantage for someone looking to have a really successful lifestyle.

He thinks he's got away with it. Just this once.

*sighs in relief, thought shw had forgotten to do homework for her favourite class, that would suck*

**writes some notes about thinking on your feet to stay alive in a zombie fight and how that leads to a successful lifestyle, or at least waking up in the morning*

((ooc: have to go to work IRL, but am happy to see you here))

Well, thinking on your feet is extremely important. It can help save your life if you are being attacked. Thinking on your feet can help correct a social faux pas. It can also save you from getting in trouble if you can think of a lie quick enough. It helps you keep your friends, your job and your life if you are apt to get into life theatning situations.

*Lily listens intently while Draco is speaking.*

Umm, yeah - what Draco said. Exactly.

"Well, sir, thinking on your feet is always important, especially when you want to hide the fact that you are totally unprepared for any given situation." *grins and winks at the professor*

*Lily catches on to what Logan is implying and tries not to giggle. She leans over to whisper*

"Hey, you're not even in this class, are you?"

*smiles at her and whispers back*

"Not regularly, no - just thought I'd check it out instead of sitting in study hall."

Thinking on your feet is an important skill to have in any situation that should suddenly arise, whether it's discovering the ghost of a dead parent has a sudden task for or, or that zombies are overrunning your school, or that you've neglected scholastic responsibilites under your care. If you are unable to think quickly on your feet there may be dire consequence for yourself or others, such as medical experimentation or being forced to clean buildings from top to bottom.

Ah yes... thinking on your feet is very important to the success of ones lifestyle because so much of our lives truly is unplanned. We can't know what situations we will be in or ever truly be in control of our situations, so to come off on top after each thing life throws at you , you need to be able to think on your feet and decide what to do as the choice comes up...
