Tuesday, December 4, Second Period

The classroom today was decorated with all kinds of astrological charts, and anyone looking closely at the ceiling might have noticed the faint outlines of constellations. The furniture had been moved into a large circle, and there were piles of cushions on the floor.

"Today's topic is astrology, or specifically the branch of astrological divination known as astromancy. There are a number of different 'traditions' of astrology -- those of you from this dimension might be most familiar with the Western or Chinese traditions." Aziraphale gave a brief lecture, and then waved his hand toward the ceiling. The lights in the room began to dim, and as they did so, the ceiling became covered in stars, constellations, and the outlines of astrological symbols.

"Make yourselves comfortable in the chairs on the floor, and spend some time studying the symbols used in the three major fields of astrology we've covered in the lecture: Vedic, Western, and Chinese. If you like, try your hand at some divination for yourself or one of your classmates."

Study the symbols and do some astromancy as directed, or simply enjoy a little quiet star-gazing.

Chris read over the handouts and then leaned back on his elbows to study the stars.

Lana curled up next to him and gazed up at the stars. "You know," she said. "I have a star projector in my room. Not of our star system, but it's really pretty amazing."

"Really?" Chris asked. "What star system is it?"

"I'm not sure," Lana said thoughtfully. "Han was a Corellian, so it's from whatever star system he's from."

"So we could have a picnic under the stars without freezing our butts off?" Chris asked.

"Mmhmm..." Lana said with a smile. "We definitely can."

"Sounds like fun."

"Mmm..." Lana said dreamily. "Spread a blanket out on the floor and just curl up together and watch the stars."

She smiled over at him. "I mean, this is nice too, but there are a few too many people around."

Chris glanced around and smiled back. "Yeah, I think you're right."

"Later," she said and then, darting a quick look around to make sure no one was watching, she leaned in and gave him a quick kiss.

Chris smiled and blushed a little, checking to see if anyone was paying attention.

Lana smiled again and stretched back out beside him to watch the stars.

And flopped down on the floor and gazed up at the stars. He loved this class.

Eve settled down under the stars with the handout on Vedic astrology.

Savannah lay on her back to watch the stars, a small dragon laying with his head on her chest protectively.

Eve looked over at her daughter. "Boo." She grinned cheerfully. "Who's the dragon?"

And yes, at Fandom, that was a perfectly valid question.

Savannah smiled. "It's Johnny."

"Is he a little fire-breathing dragon, then?" Eve asked, rolling onto her side to look at dragon!Johnny. "And is it inappropriate that I have this sudden urge to cuddle him?"

Anathema made herself comfortable on the floor and began studying the stars.

Andros found a comfortable place on the floor and looked up to study the stars.

Stargazing just made Wyatt wish Isabel with in the class. Of course, it was more fun with it was slightly chilly and there was snuggling.

Andrew was there. He looked tired, but definitely in good spirits.
