Computer Sciences, Wednesday.

[OOC note: The three classes today'll be set up into three comments. Comment to the class you're in. Unfortunately, all my posts will be this late, or will be stupid early. I hate school. ]

The computer lab, conveniently close to the cafeteria, annoyingly far from any classes, is dim. There are lights, but the room is noticeably darker than the other classes.

There are computers on long tables along two of the walls, of any kind you can think of. Plain grey boxes, iMacs of all types, a few tricked out case-modded lighted ones. There is also a table with computers in the middle of the room. It's not a small room, with enough computers and seats for about forty people.

In the corner, where there are no computers, is Mr.Question's desk. It's not a desk at all, but a long table, with piles of papers and magazines and books, none of which seem to have anything to do with computers. The computer on his desk is hooked up to a projector (a ha, the reason for the dark), and is a sleek, advanced little thing. The projection is of Question's desktop, where a picture of a large tarantula serves as the background.

Question is lurking behing the piles on his desk, having what looks like a bowl of mashed potatoes for a meal. The projection is showing a number of windows to various newspapers, as well as a notepad where he is typing with unusual speed, considering he's using only one hand.

*saunters in, not bothering to cover a huge yawn*

Mornin'. Look, I'm wearing my soft suede boots. No lacy things! What's your opinion on feathers, though? *adjusts velvet jacket that has a ridiculously huge collar of bright red feathers*

*is a bit offput by the feathers, but whatever.*

Eh. Is fine. Prefer plain coats, myself. Do you have a fork or other suitable poking thing?

Class begins shortly.

*whips out a fork, stolen from the school cafeteria* I hope this will suffice.

*daintily picks a fallen feather off the top of a monitor* I promise I won't leave a mess. I do so dislike messiness.

*smirk* It'll be fine.

Good to know you won't dirty up my classroom. Grab a computer. Doesn't matter which one.

[OOC: do we need to attend one or both sessions of tech systems?]

[So long as you show up to two classes total a week, will be fine.]

Radek enters the room and immediately begins examining the computers. When he's found one he likes, he sits down and begins organizing his class materials.

Ehhh, who are you?

Do you have a syllabus (http://www.livejournal.com/users/humanenigma/305.html)?

You'll need one.

...*looks at shoes with great interest. Laced?*

Radek twitches nervously. "I am Radek Zelenka. I do have a syllabus." He reaches into his pocket and digs out a USB drive and a fork. "I have brought necessary tools and," He pulls up the leg of his pants to reveal sandals. "No aglets."

Huh. Good.

John Connor walks into the room, eyeing all of the computers with an oddly suspicious look. He sits down in a chair near the back, keeping a close eye on the exits as he glares at the computer in front of him.

"Morning, teach."

*doesn't look up from his computer as he responds*

Use my name.

Mr. Question or Q.

I've gone through these computers and everything else in here (except the further back reaches of the Closet, but that will be taken care of.). Nothing can get you. At least, none of the computers can. Students, on the other hand...

*holds up hands* "Sorry about that, Mr. Question.

And I can't help it if computers make me a little paranoid. Other people I can deal with, but computers ... well, machinery in general has a bad habit of trying to kill me. So it's good to know there's nothing to fear.

... well, not yet, anyway."

John offers up a lopsided grin, but something about the look in his eyes is haunted.

Good.

*looks up, a bit concerned. He's supposed to be the paranoid one, not the students.*

The only thing to fear are the students. And maybe the prinicpal.

Talk later, after classes, perhaps? Am free most of the time. Can help you with the machinery problem. Have...experience.

Question isn't actually in the room right now. Or, at least, that's what it seems like.

You get the feeling that you are being watched somehow. The projection has instructions on it:

::shows up outside the computer lab just before 9AM, wearing oversized sandals, a loud Hawaiian shirt and jean shorts with a pocket toolkit poking out of the back pocket.::

*blinks*

*wishes for another mocha*

*the door? it is open.*

Question is messing around with his computer, fiddling with some internet windows and eating breakfast, a bowl of mashed potatoes. Mmm.

He is also reading the National Enquirer.

*Parker comes in, gets a look at his reading material and breakfast, then turns around, chugs the mocha in her hand, checks for the fork (still there), checks her shoes (slip-on pumps) and glides back in*

Hey, Mr. Q. Reporting for class.

*looks up from his paper, and looks over her, noticing the proper attire.*

Good to know that rules are remembered. Choose a computer. Will begin in...about 10 minutes. Very interesting article.

*grabs one of the ones with the flatscreen monitor*

Dare I ask?

About a friend of mine. Something about him not being from the future at all, but from an alternate universe. oh so close but oh so far about the facts.

eh, good enough. Will only need the screwdriver.

Try to get a fork from the cafeteria, perhaps.

Of course, sir. I'll acquire an unused one from the cafeteria during lunch.

William arrives with a laptop under one arm, a fork tucked into his pocket, and slip on shoes. He sets a small jar of peanut butter on the desk, because he can't stand the smell of pickles.

*peers over a pile of magazines at the peanut butter.*

Good job, Worde. Very prepared. I approve.

...But you don't need to be here. This is Comp Sci 1A. Unless you've completed a packet *holds one up*, you should come back later at either 11 or 2 in the afternoon.

William frowns.

"My schedule says I have this class, sir. And I did apply for it." He hands the paper over to the Question.

*takes the paper, looks at it.*

Hnn. This isn't right.

You have to have my permission to get in this class.

You should be in Tech Systems.

Hmph. Want to try the packet? *offers.*

"I confess I don't know enough about computers to tell where I should be. In any case, I think tech systems conflicts with my schedule."

William accepts the packet and starts flipping through it.

Tech Systems is every day at 11 and again at 2.

Just show up for two classes a week, and you should be fine.

Will teach you what you need to know for Compsci.

"Eleven and two, or eleven or two?" William asks worriedly. "My jouralism classes are from eleven to three thrice weekly, and I have Government 1 from a quarter to eleven to half-twelve Tuesdays and Thursdays."

Hnn. Or.

Two classes. One starts at Eleven. Ends at noon. Another one later in the day, from two to three.

Seven times a week.

Show up to two of the classes, either time, per week, and you will be fine.

Got it now?

"Got it." William gives him a relieved little smile. "Thank you, sir. I'll see you tomorrow at two, then."

Certainly.

*slowly shakes his head, goes back to his breakfast and newspaper.*

Williams lets himself out quietly, rather embarrassed, but no one's really noticed him besides the Professor, so it's okay.

Mac saunters in, wearing her docs, that she had dutifully popped the aglets out of. Her fork was in her cargo pants pocket and plethora of memory devices and other things could also be found about her person. "Hey, Mr. Q," she waves and then plops down in front of a Mac.

Hnn. Proper greeting is at least a 'Good morning'.

Suppose I can let this slide...for now.

Impressed. How did you remove the aglets? Most have to snip them off.

"Oh, I just ran my thumbnail under were the plastic bits over lapped and then pulled them right off."

*stumbles in, looking bleary*

Morning, Mr. Q.!

*poses...

...to display leather boots, shiny metal fork, and handy little jumpdrive*

*grabs the nearest seat*

*shakes his head as he waves a bit at her.*

It's only 9 AM.

I had to wake up every morning at 5AM and class was at 6.

*sighs, grumbles something about kids these days.*

Um, Mister Question? I know I signed up for Computer Science, but I can't remember which section.

::holding Mac powerbook awkwardly, extends lavendar velcro sneakers::
