Journalism Field Trip

Mitsumushi was waiting silently outside the library, a stem of flowers in one hand, almost dancing to and fro as she explored the hallway. She'd been here often enough with Abe no Seimei, but this was the first time she'd waited to guide anyone else.

Spotting the man she'd agreed to meet, she came to a graceful halt, smiling and waiting for him to approach.

Spider was in a relatively good mood this morning. Bag over his shoulder, he approached the pretty girl and gave her a smile. "Good morning, Mitsumushi. Thank you for agreeing to this."

"It was my pleasure," she told him softly, returning his smile. "When do you wish to leave?"

"As soon as my merry band of no-doubt heavily armed reprobates arrives," Spider told her. "Until then, all we have to do is wait."

When it looka like Krycek has reached a point in his coffee-drinking and supplies-checking when it might be alright to interrupt him, Scooter wanders over to check in.

"Hi, there - I'm Scooter. I don't think we've met before. Anyway, I guess you already know you're in my group, right?"

Krycek looks up and nods, closing his pack and swinging it back over his shoulder. "Krycek. The professor asked me to be your second, if you'll permit." He seems all business for the moment, competent and professional.

"Professor Jerusalem didn't tell me he was assigning me a second-in command - not that I mind." He adds hastily. "It's just I've never had one before, only been one. I'm sure I'll get used to it, though." He grins. "You ready to go?"

Krycek smiles slightly. "Anytime, sir. Let me know if there's anything you need me to do."

"I'll keep that in mind. For now, though, I just want to check my supplies one more time and then get the group together so we can coordinate. If there's anything you can think of that still needs doing, though, go to it."
