Journalism Field Trip

Mitsumushi was waiting silently outside the library, a stem of flowers in one hand, almost dancing to and fro as she explored the hallway. She'd been here often enough with Abe no Seimei, but this was the first time she'd waited to guide anyone else.

Spotting the man she'd agreed to meet, she came to a graceful halt, smiling and waiting for him to approach.

Spider was in a relatively good mood this morning. Bag over his shoulder, he approached the pretty girl and gave her a smile. "Good morning, Mitsumushi. Thank you for agreeing to this."

"It was my pleasure," she told him softly, returning his smile. "When do you wish to leave?"

"As soon as my merry band of no-doubt heavily armed reprobates arrives," Spider told her. "Until then, all we have to do is wait."

Krycek looks at Jake sideways, smirking as well. "Will do. But try not to get killed - the professor will probably unload all the paperwork on me."

Jake makes a face at both of them. "Your faith in me is touching, really it is."

"Did you come armed?" Krycek gives Jake a curious look.

"Not unless you count the coffee. Brought a Swiss Army Knife though." Jake looks back. "You don't want me running around with a gun or something, do you? ...No, didn't really think so."

He shrugs slightly. "You managed to not blow up anything but zombies with the shotgun. But a Swiss Army Knife's useful as well." Krycek looks thoughtful for a second. "...And I'm sure if coffee could be used as a weapon, you'd be the one to find out how."

"That was sheer luck, trust me on that," Jake says drily. She considers the concept of coffee as a weapon. "...Well, obviously, having the coffee will be an advantage in that I, Chloe and that George girl don't go mad with coffeine withdrawal."

"We'll definitely be the most energetic group," Chloe points out. "That should help Jake and I stay alive for you. I'd hate to see what Professor Jerusalem's idea of post-mortem paperwork is."
