Journalism Field Trip

Mitsumushi was waiting silently outside the library, a stem of flowers in one hand, almost dancing to and fro as she explored the hallway. She'd been here often enough with Abe no Seimei, but this was the first time she'd waited to guide anyone else.

Spotting the man she'd agreed to meet, she came to a graceful halt, smiling and waiting for him to approach.

Spider was in a relatively good mood this morning. Bag over his shoulder, he approached the pretty girl and gave her a smile. "Good morning, Mitsumushi. Thank you for agreeing to this."

"It was my pleasure," she told him softly, returning his smile. "When do you wish to leave?"

"As soon as my merry band of no-doubt heavily armed reprobates arrives," Spider told her. "Until then, all we have to do is wait."

Scooter shows up wearing his usual sneakers, jeans, tshirt and jacket. He has a backpack of supplies slung over one shoulder, his favourite poker in one hand and a thermos flask of hot chocolate in the other. His pockets are now sans fluorescent-pink gaffer tape, but they contain plenty of other odd and unusual things.

"Hey, Professor Jerusalem. Looks like a pretty good day for an adventure."

"That it does." Spider gestured at Mitsumushi. "This young lady is to be our guide. If you'd like to gather your group, she's ready anytime that you are."

Scooter scans the crowd, quickly. "Looks like I'm still missing Red and . . . Jessica. Guess we'll wait a bit longer for them, then. I'll see about getting Alex and D'anna and Duce together, though."
