Modern Feminism: From Susan B Anthony to Bea Arthur - Second Period - 10/24

Deadpool was positively bouncy when the students came into class today. It was an evil sort of bouncy, really.

Those poor, poor kids.

"I hope you all had a wonderful week off and weekend of awkwardness! And not just because I had no visitors of note and enjoyed your pain aaaaall weekend long." He grinned happily. "Really."

"But today? Today you kids all get to have a fun, fun test! Isn't that just exciting?" For him. He totally meant to ask if it was exciting for him. He was an evil mercenary. An evil, evil mercenary.

"Well... good night, and good luck."

1.) Give five characteristics of a feminist. (And no, unshaven armpits do not count. They could just be very French.)
1. Voting is very important to being a feminist.
2. Being able to dance around a pole.
3. Having a strong name, or at least one that sounds impressive when spoken loudly.
4. Liking pirates.
5. Shaved head.

2. A) What is a MILF?
A Moderately Insane Lady Feminist A Madman In a Lovely Fedora I have no idea.

2. B) Is Aly's mom one?
I don't know Aly's mom.

2. C) Is the principal?
I'm sure if it's a compliment and has something to do with Feminism, she is. Otherwise, no. Not if it'll get me expelled, she isn't.

3.) If you could be/have been a woman due to one strange weekend... How would you be treated differently? (Instances of girlkissy are encouraged)
I am a woman every day. What's girlkissy?

4.) Do my hips look big in this outfit?
Red is a very slimming color.

5.) Name your favorite feminist and why.
Aphra Behn. She was a professional writer and a spy, and made her way in the world doing the things she wanted to do rather than what was expected of her.

2 A: Mostly Insane and lonely females.
2 B: who?
2 C: anyone with that much firepower she'd have to.

3. I reckon I'd be laughed at endlessly.

4. I've never looked at your hips and I'm not starting now

1. Outspoken, independent, feminine, votes, knows how to dance, and knows history.

2. A> Modern Independent Liberated Front!
B> I don't know Aly's mom, but given the daughter she raised, I can see her being part of a Liberation Front, yes.
C> Well, I don't think the principal has engaged in any revolutionary activities lately, but I'm sure she'd be capable of generaling one, of course.

3. I *am* female, but I think if I were recognized as an adult woman, I would be allowed to drive more often. And the one time I engaged in girlkissy with Jo Harvelle, I was assured by my boyfriend that I did it correctly.

The Test
1.) Give five characteristics of a feminist. (And no, unshaven armpits do not count. They could just be very French.)
1. They vote. They drive. They dance on poles. They're in the military. They're named Maude.

2. A) What is a MILF?
Molbey's International Liniment Fluid

2. B) Is Aly's mom one?
She's a fluid?

2. C) Is the principal?
I do not think the Principal is a fluid. She's human, right?

3.) If you could be/have been a woman due to one strange weekend... How would you be treated differently? (Instances of girlkissy are encouraged)
People would probably mock me because I'd have boobs. And they'd make more fun of me then they already do.

4.) Do my hips look big in this outfit?
You have hips?

5.) Name you favorite feminist and why.
That Maude. Because she has a catchy theme song.

b. Common Sense
c. The belief women are equal to men.
d. Something about empowerment, which apparently leads to
e. Pole dancing

2) A) I can't believe this is on a high school test. A mother I'd like to *REDACTED*
B) I've never met her. If she looks anything like Professor Aly, I'd guess probably.
C) ...is she going to read this? Fine. Yes.

3) I've always been a woman. And I don't imagine anyone would treat me any differently if I was a man because they'd still be afraid of me.

4) Little bit. It's kind of clingy, you know, spandex doesn't do anyone a lot of favors.

5) Me. If I can't say me, fine, Bea Arthur.

Re: The Test

1. Pole dancing
Suffering Suffrage
Ass-kicking ability
Belief in equality
Comfortable shoes

2a. A hot momma
2b. Who?
2c. Yes

3. I'd probably have to work harder to be judged by my brain and not my looks. That's if I was a hot woman, of course; if I was ugly, I doubt it'd make much difference.

4. Um, no?

5. The lady who started the pole dancing classes. That was very inspiring.

1.) Give five characteristics of a feminist.
Independence, strength, drive, patience, persistence

2. A) What is a MILF? Uh, I don't know.

2. B) Is Aly's mom one? Who's Aly's Mom?

2. C) Is the principal? See A.

3.) If you could be/have been a woman due to one strange weekend... How would you be treated differently? I'm not sure I would have been. I don't know if people would have been able to tell.

4.) Do my hips look big in this outfit? No

5.) Name you favorite feminist and why. Pink. She's very talented.

1.) Give five characteristics of a feminist. (And no, unshaven armpits do not count. They could just be very French.)

Smart. Independent. Slighty scary. Honest. Assertive.

2. A) What is a MILF?

A purple and green-spotted demon that has a thing for lemon curd.

2. B) Is Aly's mom one?

Uh? Probably not?

2. C) Is the principal?

Nope. Never ever. Check Grace if you want.

3.) If you could be/have been a woman due to one strange weekend... How would you be treated differently? (Instances of girlkissy are encouraged)

I'm a woman every weekend.

4.) Do my hips look big in this outfit?

No, of course not! Why would you think such a thing?

5.) Name you favorite feminist and why.

Helen Keller. Because even when she had enough problems of her own to worry about, she still fought for what she believed was right.

1.) Give five characteristics of a feminist. (And no, unshaven armpits do not count. They could just be very French.)

Independent, intelligent, imaginative, inventive, and ... idealogical. Also, I think I should get extra points for not only fitting all those, but coming up with answers that all start with "I" which is not as easy as it would seem.

2. A) What is a MILF?
You don't want to know.

,b>2. B) Is Aly's mom one?
Probably.

2. C) Is the principal?
Only if she wants to be.

3.) If you could be/have been a woman due to one strange weekend... How would you be treated differently? (Instances of girlkissy are encouraged)
I'm always a woman, so I don't think I'd be treated any differently, but, most likely, if anyone tried and it was a bad differently, I would kick them.

4.) Do my hips look big in this outfit?
Don't be silly. You always look fabulous, Mister Deadpool.

5.) Name you favorite feminist and why.
Duh. T.R. Wexler. But if I can't count myself, I'm going to go with either Jane Canary because she gave me so many opportunities and I think does rather fit the ideal, or Bea Arthur even though I don't know who that is. Because, I mean, listen to that song. She's, like, big guns there.

Jack approached his esteemed and wise teacher to ask a question.

Re: Talk to the Teacher

[identity profile] inthereflexes.livejournal.com 2007-10-24 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"...."

He tried again.

"What's 'girlkissy'?"

"That's what I thought. Is that a glitter thing, too?" He was still confused on this glitter thing. Just didn'twant to have any boykissy on him!

"Wait. It's in the water?!" He turned around.

Like the water was right there.
