Shop, Period 5, Week 7

"Well, it looks like most of you have survived Parents Weekend," Tim said, nursing a large cup of coffee. "Which is good. It'll prepare you for Mother-In-Law weekend, which is like Parents Weekend but with double the guilt, triple the backbiting, and lots more of 'you could have married a doctor!'". That last bit was done in a bad falsetto.

"Today is your midterm. Your assignment is to fix three projects. You can work in teams or individually. Have at," he said, waving with the coffee cup.

A.J. might be randomly giggling about...something. Ahhh, paint fumes. Oh, yeah, and he's also got a good deal of brown, blue, and green paint all over his hands, as today has just been project day galore for him.

Assignment: Midterm!

The DangerShop opens into a trashed dorm room. There's a human-sized hole in the wall with broken studs and smashed drywall, the ceiling fan has been ripped from the ceiling (and is covered in various underwear), both table lamps have had the socket crushed and removed and the wire cut (and the lampshades are missing), the bathroom sink faucet is twisted like a pretzel, and the light switch is missing with the wires hot-wired.

"Oh, man," A.J. said with a chuckle as he looked around. "This looked like Mark's room..."

Well, he had a lot to do and very little time to do it. Painting Beauty's room earlier, though worked as a good warm up, so he did pretty well. By no means perfectly, but not too shabby, if he did say so himself.

There was a slight sound in the wall. Maybe a whimper?

Peter fixed the wall and patched the drywall, installed a new light switch with proper wiring, and put the ceiling fan back up. He didn't touch the underwear.

When he was done, he flipped the switch, setting the ceiling fan into motion. Some of the underwear flew off the fan blades. The rest stayed on as decoration.

All in all, it looked like everything Peter worked on more or less worked.

"I don't want to know how this happened," Luke chanted to himself as he got to work.

Taking the radio comments to heart, he actually did all the work himself rather than using any Force assists (except for the underwear. You couldn't have paid him to actually touch that). It took him a little longer, but the room, when completing was still kind of anal-retentively perfect.
