Art 101, Period 4, Class 7 (Monday 10-22)

"Welcome back," Steve said to his class by way of greeting. "I hope you all survived Parents' Weekend with your sanity intact. Today's kind of fun, or at least I think so; it's collage day. Collage is the art of assembling different images and forms to form a new whole, by gluing them to a canvas or paper. We've got loads of old magazines and newspapers you can cut up, and some other things if you want to use those--ribbons, feathers, sequins, colored and textured papers, some glitter." Steve still hadn't gotten the memo about glitter. The various collaging supplies were assembled on a central table, while the scissors, glue, and canvas were at each student's station. "So, go to it. And have fun!"

Mmm, collages. A.J. did like his collages...which was also extending into the realm of gluing the loose change in his pocket to the other conglomeration of stuff. Hmmm, needs more Post-It notes. Possibly some hair...The feathers were great, though.

This was art John could do. Just pick something up and glue it down. He went with lazily ripping up paper to glue down and avoided the glitter entirely. No reason for that, really.

As he worked he hummed happily.

Naminé felt oddly festive, and glued all sorts of decorative bits and odds and ends together, amused by the patterns that emerged.
