Library [Sunday, 10-14]

Having survived yet another detention, Lee's back in the quiet of the library today. He'd spent the first part of his time shelving the returns, making sure they were in the correct order before just wandering around the library.

And now he's back at the desk, lounging somewhat comfortably and staring into space. It's a productive way to spend the morning, really, it is.

He's done wandering and now he's pondering.

It's food time and the library's closed except for the librarian and other aides.

With the day almost over, Lee's actually trying to read now but he's distracted by his thoughts.

Availability change! I'm still going to be at work but I should be able to ping albeit slowly. So, yay not totally AFK!

River wandered into the library to return some art books that had been excavated from the bottom of her wardrobe when she'd pulled out her box of paints. They were long overdue. The look in her eyes darkened somewhat when she noticed Lee behind the desk, but she said nothing, just placed the books on top of the pile of returns.

"Hello to you too," Lee said, taking the books and stacking them on the shelf next to him. "Having a good day?"

Yeah, his voice wasn't all that welcoming but he figured he'd ought to somewhat helpful in the library.

River muttered something in Chinese. "Yes," she said finally, eyeing him suspiciously and perhaps looking a little closer into him mind that necessary. "You?"

He wasn't hiding much so his mind was pretty much an open book. He shrugged a shoulder.

"It's day," he said nonchalantly. "Weather's nice. Might go for a run later."

"You like exercise?" River asked, a tiny smile on her face appearing as she raised an eyebrow.

"Yep," he said with a nod. "Haven't had much of a chance to get out here but I go when I can."

Keeping her face neutral River said: "I practise in the gym sometimes. I'd spar against you if you want." She took a few steps backwards.

"What type of fighting?" Lee asked, curious.

River tilted her head, her face blank. "Hand to hand. Knives." She shrugged.

"I'd be up for sparring," he said after a moment. "Whenever."

There was a hint of a smile on River's face. "Let me know when," she said and turned to leave.

"Sure thing," he said, nodding a goodbye at her before going back to his book.

River quickly slipped out of the library, letting out a chuckle as she left.
