Aly might have moved her desk to the corner of the room with the best sight lines.

No reason.

There were donuts but the coffee was long gone. Possibly because Aly drank it all.

There was much being Very Very Alert this period.

She was more relaxed this period. This might have to do with the fact a certain mercenary's class was meeting.

Aly wasn't here this period because she was teaching Japanest. But she left the door unlocked and you can bet she was paying attention to the room somehow.

And now she had turned on the rest of the Septuplet Swordsmen ~~Seven Samurai~~ to see how it ended.

Just one more period to go. And slightly hardening donuts.

The look of wariness may have returned. It had been quiet for too long.

Guess who woke up late for class and couldn't put this up earlier?

After class, Kerrigan paused by Study Hall for a moment.

Mostly to steal a donut.

Observing the state of the room ~~and probably other things~~, she couldn't resist commenting "Would you like me to rig up some motion sensors in the hall while you're at it?" as she stole, stole, stole the donut.

Aly smirked up at her. "Nah, can't keep the students from possibly coming in to study," she said. "Thanks though."

John decided to work on faking his US History homework before cheer practice started. The study hall was more conducive to this idea than his room. He waved at Aly before taking a seat and getting to work. Writing fake homework was tough.

She chomped down on the donut. Mmm, sugar. "You sure?" Kerrigan asked, "Just depends on how you work it."

"Tell me about it," Aly replied. "And throw me a doughnut?"

She picked a donut up out of the box. And then took the statement literally.

Hey, Kerrigan threw good.

"I should probably rig something up for some of my students..." she mused.

Yay cheerleading. Aly waved back to John. "Make sure you get a donut," she advised. "Sugar helps with studying. True fact."

Right, a slightly hardening donut. "Actually, the sugar might help, thanks."

Because with sugar comes energy and with energy comes cracktastic writing.

Luckily Aly was expecting the literalness and snagged the donut out of the air without an issue.

Hey, the woman hung out with Deadpool.

"Just curious to see how your tech differs."

"Got scanners for everything where I come from," Kerrigan said, settling to lean on top of a desk. With another donut. "It's just a matter of wires and know-how."

Jamie was bored and looking for free food which is why he was checking out study hall.

When he discovered a lack of teacher supervision he had immediately began duplicating himself.

Which is why there are now two dozen Madroxes in study hall singing songs from ~~whatever the meta from Les Miserables is~~ and claiming the donuts for the good of "Madroxland".

That was the idea exactly.

She grinned at him teasingly. "Well, it's either you eat them or I feed them to the ducks later. I think you'll get more good out of them."

"Wouldn't want fat ducks running around the school," John replied.

Aly raised an eyebrow. "Don't you think that lacks a certain artistic something. If it's just a matter of wires?"

She shrugged, taking another bite out of the donut. "If it works and it keeps me from being dead, I'm not gonna ask questions."

Aly returned at the end of the period and burst out laughing. "I knew I was missing a special ingredient in my class this year."

"They might get emo about it," Aly agreed. "It would be terrible."

"Such a soldier," she teased. "There does need to be an element of style to these things, you know."
