15 Ways to Protect Yourself and Others: Week 5; Period 3

Where before there certainly had not been a teacher, there was now an over abundance of them.  Well, the usual one was there, as was one in a red costume and a rather large man with a metal arm weiring only a pair of sweatpants.

"...I probably should have thought that on through a lil' bit more," The one in red muttered, looking around the room.

The large half-metal man paused halfway into his cup of coffee. This was the only sign of surprise he showed. He peered into the class over the rim of the cup. "Yes..." he said.

"No, no, this is good," Aly said, not quite checking out the shirtless man.  She scrubbed her fingers through her hair.  "And not even...much...late."  She glanced over the class, making sure who was there.  "Good, sorry about that, guys."

"Just tell 'em you were late due to drunk. They all had the same crappy weekend," Deadpool said, ogling making a face at the man with the metal arm for being so calm.   "And if not, clearly they weren't doing it right." That might have been addressed to the class. Or the metal arm, who knew.

Cable stopped pausing mid-pause and took a calm sip of his coffee. "Clearly," he deadpanned.

Aly rolled her eyes.  "Yeeeah, let's not listen to the two jokers in the outfits."  She turned to Wade and Nate. "Unless you two want to help me teach after so kindly delivering me here?"

Deadpool blinked, looking out at the class. Then over at Nate. "Bodyslide by two."

Cable gave Wade a look that fell somewhere between 'amused', 'disapproving' and 'totally stoic'. "Bodyslide by two," he chorused right along. Then they blinked out of existence in a spectacular flash of light.

Aly rubbed her eyes and turned back to the students.  "Like I said, sorry about that.  I didn't expect to be quite so late."  She made her way over to the Danger Shop controls, eyeing them for a moment before hitting a quick sequence of buttons.  Suddenly a large amount of rubble  and a set up of bottles and rags filled the room.

"Okay, for some of you, this might be a review if you were in my explosives class over the summer.  Today we're going to be making Molotov Cocktails.  If you're from this world, you've probably already heard of them, but they're half gasoline, and half motor oil, easy to make and can do a lot of damage especially against gasoline engines or wood structures."   She gave a quick but thorough lecture on the basic explosive theory behind the weapons.

"Right then, go ahead and give these a try.  While you're making them or trying them out, try to pair up to discuss how these could be of use and the way you could best use them - or even why it would be a useful thing to know."

Aly glanced around the room, trying to meet all the students' eyes.  "Any questions?"

As she waited for Aly to show up, Claire doodled in her notebook, and looked around for people she knew.

Jaina waited patiently for Aly to show up, kind of figuring it might be part of the class. You never knew.

As he waited for Aly, Adam wondered why she wasn't there yet. Then again, it could be part of today's class. This was Fandom, after all.

Chad was writing down some possible chord combinations because, apparently, waiting inspired him.

Inara waited patiently for Aly, then frowned when she heard the lesson. She still didn't see why she would need to know how to make explosives.

Peter relaxed a bit before Aly came in.

When she lectured, he was a little nervous. Sure, he knew how to make explosives. He was a science brat, after all. Hell, he made a cheesecake explode one time. There was something about destructive explosives that made him nervous, though. He wasn't sure if it was the destruction or the explosives or how many times he'd been in the middle of both.

Jaina was getting pretty good at these. It smelled horrible, but at least the big boom that followed was effective.

Well, this was different.

Adam had never made one of these before, but he had experimented with various chemicals and mixtures in science lab with Billy, so he wasn't nervous when he started making some.

Frighteningly enough, this was bringing back a memory or two. All Chad needed was a tequila bottle to make it really perfect...

AFter the past week, Dean was very ready to blow stuff up. He went about constructing a large number of molotovs efficiently and with a rather frightening enthusiasm.

The science brat in him made it so that Peter was able to make these like a pro. And he was prepared for any accidents thanks to his spider-sense. Overall, this was a class that he was pretty much prepared for.

This was his third time making Molotov Cocktails in a classroom run by Aly. OH, yeah.

Sokka made a few, and threw a few, and thoroughly enjoyed the firebombing of innocent rubble.

"Excuse me?" he asked the professor, with a lit cocktail burning away in his hand. "Are we allowed to throw them at people?"

Eve had way too much fun making them.

Eve plus explosives was a bad combination.

Once again, Peter was surprisingly well set for this aspect of the project. How is that?

Spider-strength meant really hard throws that arced nicely before hitting the ground. It was cooler than he thought it would be.

Zuko was there and he was really glad that Deadpool had gone again.

"This is a really important question," Sokka said, as he approached Aly. "Is it Pajamaman or Arm-Dude that does the whole teleporting thing?"

Re: [15 Ways 10-2] - Talk to Aly

[identity profile] sarcasm-guy.livejournal.com 2007-10-03 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Sokka nodded. "Okay. So, Deadpool doesn't just, like, appear out of nowhere anytime he feels like it? That's good."
