Harriet was beaming as she walked out on stage. "Good afternoon. I'm Harriet Jones, Dean of Students."

Before she could continue, there was a heckling from the back of the auditorium, sounding not unlike a certain flame haired god of the dead. "Yes, we know who you are!"

Harriet fixed the back of the room with a look. "If I could continue, please?" There was silence. "Thank you. Now, there's been a recurring problem with gremlins at this school, so in the interests of educating you about this potential danger, we've arranged for some people to speak here this afternoon. I urge you to give them your attention, and don't be afraid to ask question. After they finish, of course."

"Oh, nothing," he lied. "I mean, in general, things are amazing." That much was true. "I think Neil and I are going to go on a camping trip. He's so awesome."

He sighed. "I'm just in a funk for some reason."

"I'm glad things are working out for the two of you," Isabel told him. "And camping is fun." She couldn't help smiling remembering the camping trip she'd gone on with Greg and what had happened then.

"Funks are no good. Would ice cream help?"

Andrew lifted his head off Isabel's shoulder and considered it. "Ice cream always helps," he said, putting his head back. "You're a good person. Turtle accused me of having a crush on Jeff. Turns out, he doesn't like me very much."

"How about we go for ice cream over the weekend then?" she offered. "Just come by and get me. I'll be around."

"I barely know Turtle and I don't know Jeff at all, but I'd have to say that he's wrong if he doesn't like you. I think you're a great guy."

"You always know just the right thing to say," Andrew said softly.

He sat up and looked about the assembly. "Hey, do you have any interest in going to Washington one weekend to see a play and the city and stuff?"

Isabel just smiled and ruffled his hair.

"I think that would be fun," she said. "I've been there before but there's always more to see."

"I glimpsed some stuff from the airplane when I flew it, but other than that, I have never had the honor of strolling the great streets of our nation's capital. Beauty was just talking about how much she likes plays, and I like plays, and I think it would be a shame to be this close to a city like DC and not experience it."

Then he added, "And as much as I love it here, I think I could use a day or two away."

"Well it would have to be a day. Because unless you want to spend a small fortune, staying the night in DC is expensive," she told him. "But we could go in early, play tourist, get some dinner and then go see a show. It would be fun."
