Modern Feminism: From Susan B Anthony to Bea Arthur - Second Period - 09/26

Upon entering the classroom today, the students would find their regular teacher slumped over his desk. He might be hitting his head on the desk on occasion.

(If any of the kids ask, it was my evil sexy twin.)

Which they'd totally buy. And it not...

(Or change the subject to how much I love pie.)

There we go!

"Change of plans today kids. We'll be learning about an application of modern feminism today. One I know nuns fully support!" He stood, pulling down the projector screen and fiddled with the remote for a bit before getting a short movie to play for the class.

After it was over he grinned brightly at them. "And now we'll try practicing this as well!"

Where exactly he found the pole was anyone's guess. How exactly it hadn't been noticed before this... Call it a plot hole. He sure did.

"So! Who's first?"

Ron spent a good portion of the class with his mouth hanging open.

"Do all American's dance on a pole?"

Turtle is sitting at her desk with her head down in her arms, groaning slightly and not paying a lick of attention. Too hard to pay attention with a pounding headache.

It was actually probably a good thing that her hangover was preventing her from being cognizant of what was going on.

Jenny stared at the screen and tried to remember the last time she'd been in a strip club with female strippers. 1997? No, 1998. 1999 had been a busy year and also more of the team went for male strippers than female.

Jack had hated them so for leaving him on the Carrier with the Doctor that night. Ah, memories.

Demyx stared.

And stared some more.

Faile stared. She couldn't believe that women here did that in public.

Jeff stared. A lot.

Grinning.

Jo stared.

And totally didn't take notes just in case or anything.

Beauty, yes, stared. And spent a lot of time trying to figure out what the point to this was.

Jack stared. And boggled. And looked around to see if anyone else was staring.

Zuko had no clue you could do that to a pole.

...

He also had no idea why they were going that to a pole.

If Robin were an anime character, he'd be doing both the sweatdrop, and the nosebleed thing just now.

Dawn stared at the movie, and then remembered that some women were using it as a workout now.

Oh, California, how she missed it sometimes.

Rodney was engrossed in the film much to his shame. Not that it stopped him from staring or anything.

Ron looked at the pole.

And then at his instructor.

"Are you mental?"

Re: Stripper Pole

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2007-09-26 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
Jude was all over this.

Okay, actually his enthusiasm was a little worrying.

As was his coordination.

And expertise.

And how well he could flip his hair after that spin. It was totally the skateboarding that built up his thighs so he could do that other thing, too.

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2007-09-26 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
"....Why is there a pole in the room?"

Turtle was very confused. She was starting to wish she had been paying more attention in lecture, or the movie, or whatever it was, because she'd be sad if she missed something about cool women firefighters.

Jenny eyed the pole. "Are you sodding serious?"

Re: Talk to the Teacher

[identity profile] comelyhonour.livejournal.com 2007-09-26 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Beauty walked up to the desk, feeling franky a little worried about her teacher. But she'd promised Turtle she'd do this.

"Excuse me, Professor Deadpool?" she said softly.
