US Government [Tuesday, September 25]

"As handwavily promised, today we have our first test of the semester," Josh said, then took huge gulps from his mug of coffee. "I'm sure you're all thrilled. If you're not, well, fake it."

He stood up from his desk, exposing the kilt he'd chosen to wear (for absolutely no reason) and handed the test papers to Donna Lana to pass out.

1. The word "democracy" comes from two Greek words. What are they and what do they mean?
2. What year was the Magna Carta signed? Why is it important in terms of the American government?
3. What three things did John Locke believe we have a right to? Which one did Jefferson change?
4. If you had been King George, how would you have reacted to reading the Declaration of Independence?
5. How does the Declaration of Independence begin (initial phrase only: Jefferson loved the compound sentence)?

"Question or concerns that aren't 'what's the answer to number 4?' Ask away."

Josh tilted his head towards the bunting-covered table outside the door. "And don't forget to vote for Student Council today."

[OOC: Answer the questions ICly or handwave what your grade would've been]

Henry aced the test. He'd kept up on his studying, so he had a good time answering the questions. He tried not to hum after he was done.

DoLana handed out the papers and then sat down to take the test. Which she got a perfect score on. (With possibly bonus points for bringing coffee and pastry so faithfully.)

Andros handwavily completed the test and did well enough to pass.

Anathema did very well, as long as spelling didn't count.

Hermione not only got every answer right, but her writing ended up needing to be very small and it ended up going onto the back of the page as she couldn't seem to stop explaining her answers.
