Study Hall -- Thursday, September 29th
Welcome to Thursday's study hall. I'm in a good mood today because it's the mun's birthday -- woohoo!, so I promise not to threaten anybody today. Well, unless one of you behaves like a fucking tool.
A couple of announcements:
-- Regarding the discussion in the weapons ban thread yesterday, nobody's going to go around to all of the magical students and inquire as to their abilities. They're already in the permanent school files from when you enrolled, remember? *grumbles* Little punks ... can't wait until every last one of you burns in the fires of nuclear war, you ignorant fucks ... (OOC: Hee. Isn't it scary that this is Sarah's GOOD mood? ;))
-- There will be a detention this weekend, so if any teacher wishes to be in charge of that, feel free to volunteer.
-- In case you haven't heard,
fh_adoptions is open for business.

"Wow. So you have, like, this whole platform."
She tilts her head, trying to read what he's writing, but gives up.
"What is it?"
no subject
"Hi! Uh... yeah. Just working out some campaign ideas. Six, Baltar and I are thinking of joining together for our own little ticket, so I was working on some of the ideas we've been tossing around."
Marty shows Angela a list that says "Escape the bonds of tyranny", "We are God's instrument", "Provide a safe school environment" and "Reduce prices on vending machine items."
"We still have some issues to work out. How've you been?"
no subject
"I guess I'm okay. I went to Mr. Phale's and got some books," she says, opening her bookbag to show him the thick vampire volume she's toting around. "They gave me some ideas." Discreetly, she shows Marty her necklace, a small gold cross she had found at the bottom of her jewelry box.
"I guess you're doing okay?"
no subject
"Yeah well... I've been running the emotional gambit this morning. I called Connor and left her a message saying I needed to talk to her about... you know what."
Marty sighs heavily and looks down at the floor.
"Plus there's the whole guilt factor of doing something unbelievably stupid and getting my girlfriend into motral danger." He says softly.
"You sure you're okay?"
no subject
"I've been thinking about it," she says softly, "Like, a lot. And seriously? The whole ... event was probably a good thing. I mean, not good, but ... I think I needed to have it demonstrated to me that not everyone here is a nice guy. And from that point of view, I got off easy."

Marty looks again at Angela's necklace. "You should get something bigger. Like... handheld."
Marty nods to the books. "Did you find anything else?"
no subject
She nods toward the books. "I didn't find anything that exciting. Oh, if we spill poppy seeds, he -- I mean, they -- should be, like, compelled to count them." She drops her voice even lower. "There was stuff about, um, permanent measures" -- she draws a finger across her throat in a slashing motion and hopes he gets it -- "but ... we can talk about that later. I didn't find anything on that other idea you had, though. Plus, I still have two and a half books to read."
no subject
Marty nods, understanding about the permanent measures. "If you want I can take one of the books off your to-do list. I was also thinking of checking out the library later to see if they had anything else there."
no subject
"I was thinking maybe one of us should go to that independent study thing Zero is putting together tonight, instead of Geoff's. I mean, yay poker, but it can't hurt to know what other weirdness is going on in this school."
[OOC: I think the "counting seeds" thing is the coolest thing about vampires Joss never used. Which probably means it won't work on Angelus, but still.]
no subject
"You mean our lives aren't weird enough as it is? I can probably beg off from the game tonight. Geoff mentioned that Spike, Jayne and the guy who lives in the junkyard are going to be there which probably means trouble. Something I'd like to avoid. When does that expedition start?"
no subject
no subject
"Sounds good. I think I'll hit the library sometime tomorrow and see what I can dig up."
"Oh... By the way? Unless there's another zombie invasion, looks like they're having detention again this weekend. Grissom is hosting it. So big benefit? No dreams. The bad? I hear he's really into bugs."
no subject
"But at least it's your last one."
[OOC: No problem. Though I'm not sure how active Angela will be either -- I might take the night, or at least a few hours, off from the computer.]
no subject
"I'm... I'm going to get ready for tonight. I'll see you around."
Marty leans in hesitantly and gives Angela a kiss on the cheek before he leaves.
[OOC: Okay. Sounds good. Going offline at the moment myself.]
