Study Hall -- Thursday, September 29th

Welcome to Thursday's study hall. I'm in a good mood today because it's the mun's birthday -- woohoo!, so I promise not to threaten anybody today. Well, unless one of you behaves like a fucking tool.

A couple of announcements:

-- Regarding the discussion in the weapons ban thread yesterday, nobody's going to go around to all of the magical students and inquire as to their abilities. They're already in the permanent school files from when you enrolled, remember? *grumbles* Little punks ... can't wait until every last one of you burns in the fires of nuclear war, you ignorant fucks ... (OOC: Hee. Isn't it scary that this is Sarah's GOOD mood? ;))

-- There will be a detention this weekend, so if any teacher wishes to be in charge of that, feel free to volunteer.

-- In case you haven't heard, fh_adoptions is open for business.

Jake comes walking past, clutching the bio hand out in one hand and her backpack in the other. As she spots the 'free coffee' bit, she stops dead, then storms over to Rory. "Give me. Now. I mean, woo, go you! But give me coffee."

Rory stares at the girl.

"Good morning. Have a cup. I'm Rory - have we met?"

Dropping her backpack and grabbing a cup like it'll save her life, Jake sighs. "I'm Jake. I like coffee. I live in your... whatever the hell he is today's house."

Rory's jaw drops a little, and then she corrects herself.

"Jake. You look a little different. Sorry about that," she says, trying to keep the smile on her face from disintegrating into a smirk.

"This is gonna get real old, real fast, I can sense it," Jake sighs, before gulping down a cup of coffee. She holds the empty cup out. "Can I have more? Being a girl is very traumatic for me. You do not want to know about my experience with bathrooms. Or picking out clothes that didn't make me look like I dressed in the dark." She waved the cup.

"Have as much as you want," Rory says, arching a brow. "I've got an entire shipment of coffee in my closet if I run out."

She sighs. "Have any girls offered to...help you with this, by the way? Like, the how to deal with dressing part, at least?"

Duce, sliding into Study Hall, catches the question Rory directs at Jake and mutters, "Why, when letting him figure it all out on his own is so much fun?" She shoots a grin at Jake and takes a seat.

"Fair point," Rory says with a slight smile. Her sympathetic nature wins, however, and she turns her attention back to she-Jake.

Jake's staring at her with bulging eyes. "Girl clothes? I have seen how the girls here dress, I am not, ever, wearing --" She flails and then trips over her own feet. Catching her balance again, she admits, "Well, I need new shoes."

Rory looks down at Jake's feet.

"Think you could wear a size seven or so?" she muses. "Because I have a ton of shoes that I could loan you."

Jake looks down at her feet too. "Maybe? I could try? That's really nice of you."

"No problem. Just stop by my room at some point - I should be in there tonight - and we'll figure it out. I'm in three-oh-five."

Jake nods, smiles, grabs more coffee and wanders off again.

Rory grins. "You don't have to vote for any of us, if you don't want to. And thank you about the coffee - I'm getting vaguely better at making it."

"I can understand that," Rory says, nodding. It was true - she understood where they were both coming from, knowing both Alanna's nature and Han's. "But I appreciate that you're voting for me, anyway."

You got a sense of humor about it at least. I think a lighter pink would be better though.

Look, Elizabeth's having some trouble getting a homecoming date. I suggested having the next MFCD meeting Saturday. I'm offering to talk about getting a homecoming date. If you know any girls who are looking for a date, send 'em by. It'll be good practice.
