Once everyone was seated Yondaime wandered into class late, with an eye patch over his left eye and looking very, very annoyed. “Arr…” he said lamely.

“As my husband forcibly reminded me this morning by gluing an eye patch to my face, today is ‘Talk Like a Pirate Day’, and in honor of that we are having a quiz. If you don’t like it, complain to Deadpool.”

Just be glad that he hadn’t found the skull and cross-bones that were drawn on his shoulder.

“It will be covering everything that we’ve done so far in class which isn’t much, and you are allowed to use your notes.” See he wasn’t overly mean. He went through the class passing out the tests. “If you can, please write out your responses in hiragana, but it’s not required.”

Hey, Anders had actually (when he wasn't boggling over the constantly shifting contents of his sock drawer) studied for this test.

(What? He was taking the whole prospect of playing baseball in Japan really seriously.)

So this wasn't one of his usual barely-scrape-a-passing-grade jobs; arguably this could've been because he was allowed to use his notes, but he passed, and passed pretty solidly. But handwavily because OMG tried to actually do it and not-awake-yet brain cried.

Surprisingly, Will had studied pretty hard for the test. She filled out her answers slowly, reading and rereading the question over to make sure she had what she thought was the right answer.
