Keeping Your Wits About You... [Monday 2nd Period 10-11] Class # 3

There had been a handwavey correspondance to the students to let them know to meet in the Danger Room today, though have no fear, this in no way meant there were no treats. Wilson had made Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake bars for the students to get their sweet fix satisfied. There was also coffee, tea and water.

Wilson himself was leaning against a wall with a cup of coffee in his hand. As soon as everybody was in the Danger Room and accounted for, the young doctor grinned and straightened up.

"All right then. Today is our first practical lesson. You are each going to face down an insideous opponant, one by one through that door there. You can not use force, you can not use powers. Johnny, you can try fire on the door, it won't give, it's designed to be impervious to all your powers, magical or otherwise. You must play by the door's rules."

He waited for the students to finish looking at him as if he'd grown a second head and grinned around his coffee cup.

"Yes I said door. You'll understand when you get into the scenario. Now the rules are you have three chances to make it through the door. After that, times up and either you solve the door's challenge or you loose. Loosing won't affect your grade but I hope it will make you think. Winning ... gives you bragging rights over the door. Okay, everyone understand? Then step up and you go in alphabetical order."

Picking up a clipboard, he began to read off the list.

Elric, Alphonse
Evans, Isabel
Halliwell, Chris
Halliwell, Wyatt
Huston, Beauty
Lang, Lana
Levine, Savannah
Roberts, Summer
Sato, Hoshi
Shirley, Anne
Storm, Johnny

[ooc: Rules: You get 3 tags to ask the door questions and work out the riddle. So there should be a total of 6 tags with the door giving the final tag, the first tag by the door does not count it just establishes the riddle.

Of course you don't have to stick to class list order, since time zones and the like. No using of powers to get past the door, the Danger Room is designed specifically to everybodies unique power strengths to withstand those strengths. OCDs are on the way, please wait for them to be put up! Class is in session]

Savannah ponders this and looks at the door. Being her, she would turn on all of the switches at once, but she doesn't think that's what Wilson wants her to do.

"Do I have to move the switches one at a time?"

"You can turn the switches on and off in any arrangement you want, but you can only go up the stairs once."

Savannah really wasn't good at the asking of questions as she always solved riddles hands on.

"Do I have to turn them on one at a time?"

The door glared, if doors can glare. "Just said you could turn them on however you want. One at a time, two at a time, all at the same time, none of them at all. Though that last one won't help you much, will it? You can have that for free."

Savannah laughed. "I like you. You're snarky and remind me of one of my mentors."

She looked at the switches and turned switch one and three on. She left them both on for a moment and looked towards the stairs. Shaking her head, she turned the first switch off and then headed up the stairs.

The door mumbled something about wishing more people said nice things like that, then called out as Savannah took off. "Hey! That isn't a question! You can't go anyplace until you tell me how you're going to solve the riddle.

She looked at him. "I turned the two on and turned one off. The light that's on is controlled by the third switch. Then I'm going to touch the other two bulbs. Since I didn't turn one of them on, that will tell me how the light switches control what bulbs."

The door sighed. "Can't fool you. You may pass."

Savannah bounced. "Yes!" She kissed her fingertips and laid them on the door. "And thank you for being a gracious opponent."

Well, doors don't blush, but this one certainly looked like it might have been trying. "Hmph. Nice to be appreciated."
