Walking and writing notes at the same time isn't as hard as it seems. Especially if you're Bridge and you've had practice. What does happen, however, is that you get sort of wrapped up in your note taking and sometimes forget to do the thing you were going to do in the first place. Like open the library. After a few minutes of standing outside the door and making notes, Bridge finally remembers that hey, he has a key, and inside there's desks and stuff, much easier for writing!
