Barney was dressed in his nicest all-black suit ensemble, ~~it was his Vader suit~~. He addressed his class, assembled in the darkened Danger Shop for the last time.
"During this Legendary workshop session you have learned How to Be Awesome. You have suited up, you have learned the art of the pickup line, you have learned to role play, you learned the gentle art of the Lemon Law." Barney paused to look pointedly at Zack before saying, "You learned how to create an online portfolio, you learned to distinguish between awesome and not awesome celebrities, and finally, you learned how to gamble."

"Today is the culmination of your studies in Awesome. Today we will learn if you are a man, a lesbian, or a loser," again with the looking at Zack. He wasn't still bitter, not at all. "Today we will play laser tag. Here is a list of the teams." Barney motioned to Andrew who passed around papers listing this:

"I am what we in the field call a Lone Wolf. I am a master of all laser tag strategies. Please try to catch me off guard, I dare you!" Barney laughed loudly and dramatically. "Now, the rules are that there are no rules, just equipment and your knowledge of awesomeness. Now, get out of those suit jackets and prepare to be destroyed!"

"Oh, well in that case," Isabel said, stepping a bit closer and smiling. "The trick is to think about your hands, and where you want them to be or what you want them to do."

Wyatt's grin widened. "I can do that," he said. "I know where I'd like them to be."

"Like maybe on your gun?" she laughed as she raised her own gun and fired.

Wyatt's vest beeped and registered the hit. "Hey!" he said, making his best pouty face at her. "Is that any way to repay me for healing your eyes?"

"No, probably not. That would involve food of some sort," Isabel admitted. "Can I buy you lunch one day?"

Wyatt's smile returned. "You could do that, yeah," he said.

"Well then pick a day, my schedule is pretty much open," she smiled. "Especially now that workshops are done."

"Monday or Tuesday?" Wyatt said. "I'm pretty free, too. I'm working at the clinic Tuesday nights now, but that's about it."

"How about Monday at Ching Tai?" Isabel suggested. "Meet me at my room and we can walk down together."

"Sure," Wyatt said. He casually reached over to pick up his gun. "Just leave that behind, okay?" he said, smiling as he nodded at Isabel's own gun.

"Sure. I'm dangerous enough on my own," Isabel promised with a grin. "Anything else is just overkill."

"I like dangerous girls," Wyatt said. "Makes life more interesting."

"I think that's true of most of the guys in this school. Which is good. There seems to be a shortage of simpering damsels in distress," she laughed. "We just rescue ourselves."

"Maybe you'll rescue me one day," Wyatt said with a wink. Of course by "rescue" he probably meant "sleep with."

Isabel was starting to get a feeling rescue might have too different meanings in this conversation. "I think we're going to have to wait and see what the next invasion brings."

"With new students, it won't be long, right?" Wyatt said. He was definitely getting a feel for this place now.

"Well they're an invasion in and of themselves. I was thinking more along the lines of dinosaurs or trolls," Isabel explained.

"Well, they seem to go hand in hand, don't they?" Wyatt said. "Maybe we'll get lucky and have a friendly invasion. Or something like the little kids or boys turning into girls. It's fun to watch the new kids' heads explode."

"I wouldn't mind seeing the kids again." Especially since it seemed like it would be the only chance for her to ever see them since it was highly unlikely they'd ever exist in her reality. "But more then likely we'll wind up with something slimy and dangerous instead."

"It'll at least be something to do?" Wyatt suggested.

"You have weird ideas of fun," Isabel laughed.
