Patriotism Yay!: Period 2, Week 7

"Well," Steve began as his students gathered, "today is our last day together. I hope you all learned something, if only to take a closer look at what you believe. I apologize for any problems, I'm still ironing out the kinks on this 'teaching' thing. So, today we have celebratory punch and pie for all surviving seven weeks together, but before we get to that, I'd like everyone to tell me one thing they learned or one question they've learned to ask. Go!"

"I learned that there's a lot more grey area in these sorts of things than previously expected," Turtle said after a moment. She wasn't very satisfied with the answer, really, but she felt distracted.

Turtle wondered if one could overload on punch and pie.

These questions did not prevent her from having lots of it.

"Not a jerk," Peter said immediately. "A bit more gruff. Like, I wouldn't be surprised if you... he... whatever spent a lot of time acting as a drill sergeant before the US officially got into the war."

He tried not to think of Mr Rogers as one of those drill sergeants who go on talk shows and scare kids straight.
