Accelerated Scouting: Week 7 - Tuesday, Period 5

Dale had sent out a notice for everyone to meet at the Danger shop today for their final class.

Upon arriving at the shop, the students will notice that the classroom is decked out in decorations and there is a cake, punch and assorted food available.

"Congratulations," Dale announces. "You've all acheived the rank of Eagle Scout. This is an accomplishment that you all be proud of. Before we dive into the cake and refreshments, I'd like you all to reflect on what you've learned on this experience. After that? We can burn all the uniforms."

"Somehow I doubt that," Dale said seriously. "Care to talk about it?"

"No, sir," Z said. The last thing she needed was another adult telling her how much of a loser she was. "I'm fine. Really." She thought trying for a smile might be pushing it, though.

"You're posture and vocal inflection tell me different," Dale replied. "However, if you do not wish to talk about it with me, I understand. Just please know that my door is always open."

Looking thoughtful, River finally said: "Writing an essay on being a citizen made me question and examine several of my preconceptions. No conclusion, however."

"I learned," Turtle said, looking mildly disturbed, "that our uniforms are supposedly indestructable, so I'm wondering exactly how we're going to go about actually burning them, sir."

"I like the fact that the next time I say 'scout's honour' and get asked if I was ever a boy scout, I can now honestly say yes," Dean said with a happy smirk.

"I liked the camping," Troy said. "It was cool to be out in the woods like that over night."

"The walk was definitely fun," Abigail said, "although it might be rivaled by burning the uniforms."

"I really liked the hike, there was this little chipmunk that seemed really hungry, so I shared some cookies with him, and that made him happy, and I like making people happy. Also, the swimming was fun, and the cooking too- oh! And the guest speakers all had some very interesting things to say, I really learned a lot..." Bridge babbles. Suffice it to say he enjoyed the class.

Naminé laughed. "I never imagined that I would enjoy a class about the outdoors. And I do believe I've increased my own ingenuity, and learned some interesting skills that should serve me well later in life."
