[Creatures of Nature - 5th Period, 8/20]

D handwavily notified the students to bring their pets with them to class, so that when they arrived he had the tables set up for the various cages to rest on.

"I know that you have had these animals for but a few weeks, but it is time to return them," he began. "And in the process show me what you may have learned, how they have affected your lifestyle in assuring theirs was comfortable, and what you thought of your pet in general."

Raphael seemed subdued. Not that he wasn't usually quiet in class, just that he seemed more so than usual. Despite the fact that he'd been opposed to having a pet, he was really going to miss having the bunny around.

Not that he'd admit it if anyone asked.

He had Leo in his lap, petting him and feeding him bits of romaine lettuce and apple pieces he'd brought along. Not like he was going to be needing them anymore.

Naminé gave Raphael a tentative smile. "You could always get a bunny, you know."

Raph looked up at her, blinking a moment, then grinning. "Hey, Nami.. Nah. it's a lot of work, y'know? Not that I mind doin' it, I just really don' have that kinda time. My life's not exactly relaxed. Besides, I live in a sewer. That's no kinda place for a rabbit."

Never mind that he lived in a pretty nice, well kept part of the sewer, and that with Leo gone he technically wasn't supposed to be doing any fighting. He was still doing it. New York needed him more than bunnies did.

"You had that sort of time for the past few weeks," she said lightly. "I'm not certain if rabbits are so time-intensive as you imagine. And I think anywhere is better than a shelter, to the rabbit's thinking."

She shrugged. "I can't say. It was only a thought."
