The Danger Shop was mostly dark when the students arrived. Aly was waiting at the consoles, ready to launch the sequences as soon as everyone was present.

"Morning, everyone," she said with a grin. "Today we're going to talk about something that hasn't come up before in this class. And that would be the physicality of spying. This is something you see in spy movies a lot - especially those of the James Bund and Deathe Subservience variety - and while it's usually greatly overdone in that type of movie, it is a necessary bit to consider. So." She flipped the buttons to set up the programs. "We're going to play with two things today that require not just controlled movement, but also your brain to work and plan ahead how to get through these things. First up, there's a laser maze. Then next, we have a rock climbing wall. Which I totally admit that I've never run into a rock climbing wall while spying, but there have been plenty of times when I've crawled out on a window ledge or had to carefully slip across a roof and the same balance and strength is needed."

She gestured to the two areas. "Hopefully you all got my ~~handwavy~~ note about wearing clothes you can move in, so go ahead and go to. I'm around if you have any questions."

"Maybe it's a talent," Gavin suggested. "I managed to evade questions about my punishment for about ten minutes."

"I managed a little longer," Seely said. "Mostly because I locked myself in the bathroom for most of that."

"Something I didn't think of." He snickered quietly. "Wonder how long the marks will stay around."

"Don't know," Seely replied. "Hopefully not too long."

"Stupid quill," Gavin said tightly. "Oh, are Aravis's eyes okay? She had a veil on when I saw her last night."

Seely nodded. "Yeah, they're better than they were."

"She didn't think she was pretty and when she's admitting that to me, I knew something was up," Gavin said. "I, uh, told her she was pretty. Which she is but I know she's with you. Just so you know. Yeah."

"Yeah, she is pretty."

Seely was good at focusing on the important parts.

Gavin laughed and shook his head. "One track mind."

Seely grinned. "Only when it comes to Aravis."

"I don't know if I should say that's sweet or call you a dork," Gavin said.

"I don't think she'd disagree with the second one," Seely said wryly.

"Because she has eyes even if they are a little red."

"Pretty much, yeah."
