When the class had filed into the room, D had several tables, each laid out with an egg, each one in a box and swaddled in a blanket for warmth. The room itself, in fact, was overly warm as well, though it didn't seem to bother D any.

"Today we will be looking at dragons," he said. "Or, more correctly, we will be looking at several types of creature which are likely to be called 'dragon', though the name may not be wholly correct in each instance.

"For this exercise, you will split into groups, each with an egg, and then deduce which type of 'dragon' comes out of it." D gestured to where each table had a stack of books on it. "Those will help you to figure it out, as long as you look carefully. Please be very gentle, but know that dragons, even small ones, can bite."

[OOC: Split up into groups of three, if you please. The egg will begin to hatch as soon as someone touches them and each comment will give a clue as to what type it is. OCD is ~~coming~~ up.

Dragons in your classroom? It's more likely than you think.

Sabriel looked for someone to partner with.

Willow waved.

Sabriel waved back with a grin. "Do you know anything about dragons?"

"Small amounts," Willow said. "I don't know that I'd claim to be an expert. But I have met some in my time."

"You have? Where they big?" Sabriel asked curiously. "I've only met the little lizard ones. I don't think my world has dragons." She looked down at the books. "I mean, I'd know, right?"

"Not necessarily," Willow said. "They could be very shy."

"True," Sabriel agreed. She looked around the room, before turning back to Willow. "Would you help me poke the ugly egg (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1471574.html?thread=89587542#t89587542)? I think it looks the most interesting."

Billy looked around to see who might want to partner up.

Gwynn came over to Billy. "Need a partner?"

"Yeah sure, Gwynn right?"

Gwynn nodded. "That would be me."

"Cool then, let's do it." he smirked.

"Good plan."

Jenny looked around for a partner.

Naminé wasn't sure if she was more nervous or excited. Dragons? Really? She looked over and wondered if her big/little sibling was thinking the same.

Raph was just hoping that dragons wouldn't have a taste for mutant reptiles. A baby just coming out of its egg was bound to be hungry, right? He saw Namine and went over to her. "So... Dragons..."

He coughed slightly and shuffled from foot to foot. "Wanna partner up?" He was tough, and doing a good job of looking it, but he had to admit (at least to himself) that he was just a tad nervous.

Naminé laughed. "I would, thank you. I should think that between us we can fend off a hungry dragon. Especially a newborn." She looked around. "We need a third, don't we?"

Raph smirked. He couldn't find it in himself to continue being nervous with Naminé smiling at him. "Yeah, I bet we can." He looked over to the tables. "Looks like some people have already moved over to the eggs. Maybe we can find someone over there."

Naminé considered. "Do you know Dawn? She's very kind. I think she wouldn't mind us intruding."

Raph thought about it. He didn't know her, but he trusted Nami's judgement. "Ok. Let's go."
