Detention [Saturday, 08/04]

Hannelore had stayed up all night planning detention, though students might not have realized upon entering the Danger Shop, as it was as sparse as she kept it for most of her workshops.

She'd written on a whiteboard:

Zack Addy
Dick Casablancas
Jim Halpert
Henry Jekyll

and paced while she waited for students to file in. "So, since detention is, you know, a bad thing, you guys get to deal with some of the things I hate like burning, and one of the things I love to soften the blow. It should be fun. I'm here if you need anything, and so is Winslow. You might need him, believe it or not. So...have fun, guys."

Henry saw the "Tea of Doom," but figured that it had to be better than coffee, at least. He walked meekly up to the counter, avoiding the woman's eyes. "Tea, if you please."

Henry stared for a second. He thought that robots were supposed to be helpful and kind! He started to run around, trying to pick them up.

Henry put on the cleaning garb and looked at it.
"It is not possible for these to hold a human aloft." His incredulity was blatant. "It cannot be done!"

"Of course it can be done," Jim said. "They're anti-gravity devices. See how well it's working for her?" He pointed at Hannelore to emphasize his, well, point.

Sure, it was a lie, but it was kind of the truth. Almost.

A wee white robot dashed by, laughing maniacally as a cord of Christmas lights trailed after him.

Surely that wasn't going to be used for any sort of robotic evil.
