Announcements [Wednesday Mid Morning]

The intercom clicked on and then there was the harmonious tones of one Headmaster Dolores Umbridge wafting through the speakers.

"Good morning, students," she said. Most would just hear pleasantness but anyone who listened closely might hear the undertones of malevolent giddiness. "I do hope you all are awake and alert. The best student is an alert student, after all."

She paused to giggle loudly into the intercom. "Now, then. I've just a few items of business to handle. Sometime soon, would Mr. Dick Casablancas and Mr. Peter Pevensie please report to my office? I would like to have a kindly word with the both of you."

Another giggle, this one growing in creepiness. "And finally, an announcement. All students who are currently residing in co-ed rooms, please start packing your belongings at once. New rooms will be assigned to you as soon as possible. I will be meeting with you all in my office at my convenience."

She paused. "Oh, and if you are considering coming to my office unclothed, do ask Jack Harkness how that particular situation will turn out. Thank you and have a pleasant day."

[OOC: Feel free to react! The people who get called to Umbridge's office can feel free to come and see her at their convenience. Slow play is absolutely fine. The room splitting will start tomorrow and, again, slow play will be fine!]

Being an owl had meant that River had managed to avoid the news of the new temporary principal. There was something in the voice that she found quite disturbing, and the giggling reinforced that impression. River shivered.

Anders had been on his way down the hallway when he heard that particular announcement, and the distinctly rude gesture he made at the nearest unfortunate PA speaker was an instinctive reaction triggered by the giggling.

Really.

He would never intentionally address even a creepy principal's disembodied voice with a gesture like that, ever. Honest.

"Oh, hell frakking no, there will be nobody moving out of our room . . . that I technically don't live in, but still."

Dick did not whimper like a girl when he heard his name come over the intercom.

He whimpered like a man.

Sam stared when he heard the announcement. There was no way he was going to let himself be separated from Dawn.

Bel snorted. Like he would let himself be separated from Phoebe. Fat chance of that happening.

But he had to snicker a little thinking about how the new pricipal apparently didn't realize how rampant boykissy was in the school. Someone might have to arrange a demonstration that separating the boys from the girls wouldn't put an end to anything.

Will frowned as she heard Umbridge's announcement. She hoped she'd manage to escape being forced out of her room.
