Construction [Wednesday]

With the return of Mr. Harris, Fraser had taken yesterday to do several loads of laundry and to sleep. He'd worry about how familiar and comfortable he was getting in this place later. For now, he was back at the construction site, smiling broadly.

"Good morning," he greeted. "I'm sure we were all glad to see Mr. Harris return safely from his trip and you no longer had to endure my safety signs." Fraser was amused to see the signs were still around though. "I won't speak long today. Be safe, be diligent and let's get to work."

And the alien begins to work.

The work day takes a break for lunch.

In a shocking turn of events, the alien continues to work.

The work day gets peeped.

The work day finds Fraser ready to talk.

The work day also found Harriet Jones, Applied Ethics Teacher, calling out, "Mr Fraser, I wonder if you might spare me a moment of your time?"

"Miss Jones," he said, smiling. "How can I help you?"

"Well, if you wouldn't mind," she said, returning his smile. "You could tell me that you're doing well after that little incident with the stones, and that they've been securely fastened in place."

He blushed and ducked his head. "I've been doing quite fine, thank you kindly for asking. I've managed not to activate any other stones thus far."

"Of course you haven't," she said firmly and patted him on the arm. "And those first ones weren't your fault. But pleased as I am to hear you're quite fine, I'm forced admit to an ulterior motive for my visit."

"Oh?" He raised an eyebrow. "And what sort of ulterior motive would that be?"

"I was wondering if you'd consider being a guest," she considerd him and smiled again, "speaker of a sort in my class on Friday."

"Of course," he said without hesitation. "I would be honored."

"Before you agree," she held up a hand, "you should hear exactly what it involves." Harriet explained what she had in mind, and why, and what it would entail. "Would you still be willing?"

"I would," he said, nodding. "No need to worry about me. I've been through worse."

"Well, I won't say that's good," she said after a moment's surprise. "And I won't say that I won't worry about you, but I will say thank you. You should stop by for tea sometime, Mr Fraser. It's the least I can do to show my appreciation."

"I accept your invitation and would be happy to stop by sometime," he said, grinning. "Thank you kindly."

"Very good to hear. Now," she said, smiling briskly. "I should let you get back to the impressive job you're doing with the school, and I should see about putting things into place for Friday's class. Until Friday, Mr Fraser."

"Until then," he said, nodding. "Have a good day."

The work day IS BORING.

Housecleaning is equally so.
