"Heeeeeeeey students." said Buster after everyone had sat down. He was sitting on a picnic table, surrounded by a few cardboard boxes. He looked really tired. Perhaps it was because of all the schmoozing he did last night at the bar.

"Okay, kids here's a life lesson for you: Life sucks. It sucks and then sucks some more. Horrible things are going to happen to you suddenly and there's nothing you can do about it." said Buster. He was going for the "tough love" approach today.

"Something horrible is going to happen to you. The sooner you accept this the less surprised you will be when it happens." he said. "So today we're going to have an activity that vaguely mirrors the lecture but not really."

"So in these boxes are some items." he said. He began to rifle through the box. "Eyepatches, fake hands, fake hooks, bald caps...I want you to pick one and wear it for the rest of the day. You'll get to learn what it's like to be unfortunate and I'll get to laugh at you. We all win!"

Serious!Buster is scary.

There's eyepatches, fake hands, hooks, bald caps. For some reason there's a pair of clown shoes in there. All sorts of ~~moddable stuff~~ to make you look like a dork.

Try not to stab anyone with the hook.

He was still a little frazzled from last night.

Must've stayed up too late watching that damn Magic Bullet infomercial.

Jeff knew all about horrible things. They happened to him all the time. He nodded along with a mildly desperate expression on his face.

Jeff picked up an eyepatch and pulled it over his head. It seemed to go with his mood.

Johnny hoped nothing ever horrible happened to him, but listening to Buster gave him a whole new outlook.

Nahhhh, nothing horrible was ever going to happen to him.

Johnny grabbed a pair of clown shoes and slipped his feet into them. Weird.

Chad's head tilted a little at the lecture. Horrible things already had happened to him, and that's why he was here. So did that mean he was exempt? Or that they were only going to get worse ~~or emo, if you consider how his series is going, dammit~~.

Chad had a hook hand for himself, but he wasn't going to put it on until he found an eyepatch small enough to fit Prince Oscar Pedro. Pirate Prince! Yarrrr!

Edward Elric

Ed stomped up to the teacher. "How do you know we all don't already know this?"

"W-what?" asked Buster.

"All this crap about something bad happening to us and how we can't avoid. Who says we need to learn it?"

"If you've already learned it then congrats, you're ahead of the class." said Buster.

Lucas Wolenczak

Lucas took two eyepatches and alternated flipping one and the other up and down.

Eve rummaged through the box and came up with... ooh, hey, a really ugly-looking wig. Score.
