When the students came out to the main campfire on Tuesday morning they would notice that Buster wasn't anywhere to be found. Or so they thought. Only those with a keen eye would notice Buster hiding behind a tree. When everyone had arrived he crept up quietly to the class. Even then he might not be noticed. No, the students might not notice that their teacher was there until he coughed and said "Heeeey students."

"Today we'll be learning how to be neither seen or heard. I'm an expert at this due to me spending many years at the Milford Academy. It's a useful skill. You can avoid anybody you don't want to see or you can use it to pick up information. The latter may backfire because you might find out things you didn't ever, ever want to know. Horrible things about your mother." Buster shivered. "Ugh."

"Now, the most important thing about being neither seen or heard is the way you dress. Anybody can dress up in all black and put on goofy makeup to keep yourself from being seen but won't you feel stupid if you're caught? But if you dress up in floral prints and wear a lot of pastels people won't think you're worth their time and not notice you there. Or they're think you are "special" and won't mind spilling their secrets around you." he said. "Hiding in plain sight, that's what being neither seen or heard is all about."

"Also, no talking. I cannot stress how important this is. Some people just can't shut their traps and that makes other people untrusting of them." he said. "When you must talk be polite and keep sentences short. I have gone days without talking and nobody in my family noticed."

"So today we're going to do two activities that will prepare you for being neither seen or heard. The no talking game and hide and seek!" said Buster. "I know you know them well."

"And for homework I want you to hide in plain sight sometime this week. Dress inconspicuously. See what kind of information you can find out from people." he said. "Or maybe someone will care enough to try to find out where you are. But that's rare. The only time someone wanted to find me was to help them zip up their dress."

Turning his head to move onto the next set of trees, Johnny narrowed his eyes, thinking he saw lights. Frowning, he started off towards that direction.

Damn, Johnny was on to him.

Chris tried the orbing thing again, heading back to the first tree.

Johnny stopped and stared. What was with the light show? Someone was playing around and he wanted to find out who it was.

He followed it, trying to get closer.

Chris would have probably managed to orb again, except he tripped over the root of a tree and landed face first in the dirt.

And that's about the time Johnny came upon him. "Hey, you all right?" He reached down, ready to help him up did he need it. Johnny had never met Chris, but he knew who he was from class.

"Yeah, I'm good," Chris said, standing up and brushing himself off. He vaguely knew who Johnny was, but was completely oblivious to any potential rivalry between them.

"Chris, right?" Johnny asked, holding out his hand.

"Yeah," Chris nodded, shaking his hand. "And you're Johnny."

And this now felt just a tad awkward. Johnny knew Savannah had gone out with Chris a couple times now. Not that that had to affect anything. "Pleasure to meet you."

"Likewise," Chris replied, trying not to make judgements about the guy based on hearsay.

Yeah, Johnny had a rep going, but it was all good. Honestly. He hasn't been out since last Thursday night. With Savannah.

"So, the light - that was you?"

Sadly Chris had no idea that Johnny and Savannah had a date on Thursday, despite the fact that he was with her on Wednesday and Friday.

"Yeah," Chris said. "I was... orbing... so you couldn't find me."

And Johnny hadn't paid attention to the fact that he had been the middle-man, so to speak.

"Orbing." He stated, cocking a brow. "Is the light intentional? Or does it just happen when you do that?"

"It's just what happens," Chris said. "Orbing is a form of teleportation."

"Ah, I see," he said, thinking about it. "What's the distance, or rather how far can you go from one place to the next?"

Chris shrugged. "I don't know. I haven't really tested it. I know I can go from here to California without a problem."

He raised his brows, "Okay, that's cool." And it was, seriously. Johnny was wondering how much this guy had in common with Savannah. "Are you a witch, Chris?"

"Yep. Well, half witch," Chris said. "Also half white lighter, which is a guardian angel for witches."

Even more impressive. Johnny asked what was on his mind, because if he didn't, he would have wished he had later. "You looking out for Savannah?" Like, a big brother type? Right?

Chris's eyes narrowed slightly. "Yeah, well, we've gone out a few times," he said casually. And she's the only person I'm dating, he added silently.

Johnny held his gaze, "Right, heard about that. She's great, isn't she?" Two! It's been two, dude! I think...maaan!

"Yeah, we've had a really nice time together," Chris said. He wasn't about to look away first. "We'll definitely be going out again."

Nodding, Johnny wasn't about to pansy out; dropping eye contact first was so not cool. "DC was great the other night with her. She mention that yet? I'm seriously looking forward to our next trip." That hasn't been planned yet. But Johnny would have to do something about that. And soon.

"No, can't say that she did," Chris said, acting flippant about it, like it wasn't important enough for Savannah to have mentioned. "When was that? I was with her almost all day on Friday."

Johnny grinned slyly, "Yeah, I guess she might not mention it, seeing as it was a pretty private evening." All day Friday? "It was Thursday."
