Construction Site: Friday July 20th, all day

Xander, back in the neon-green hardhat, lays out the last of the safety equipment and explains what today's project is: "There's a new section of classrooms done, so we're back on drywalling and doorframes, guys. Upper floor and not all of the roofing's been replaced yet, so watch out for ye olde sunstroke - and ye olde sunburn. There's sunscreen next to the water bottles, if you need it."

Pick up your sexy cordless drills and get to work!

Stark, who did not find the power tools attractive in any way thanks, picked up his non-sexy drill and did in fact get to work.

Mmmm, power tools. Bel got to work.

Again, there's snacks out if you or your guests want them, and again, they're light because hey, the circus is in town. Sooner or later you'll be stuffing your face with peanuts and cotton candy.

Peanuts? Cotton candy? Bah, Bel wanted a manly lunch.

Well, if he played his cards right, maybe he'd get one from the amazingly non-Zuma-playing Anders who was showing up right about now. Maybe.

Bel was a pretty good card player, so he went all in.

Dirty?

"So. Should I feed you today, or not?" Anders mused out loud.

"Do not taunt the hungry demon," Bel growled.

"But it's fun," Anders replied -- while laying out Bel's lunch for him.

"You just like me threatening you," Bel said.

"Would I do that?" asked Anders, whistling innocently. Ha.

"You? Yes," Bel insisted.

"Me? Never," Anders maintained, sticking his tongue out.

"Shut up and hand me a sandwich," Bel said with mock grrr-ness.

"Such treatment," Anders mock-sighed. "You're lucky I love you, really, and your sandwich is already in front of you, dork."

"Oh. Right." Bel picked up the sandwich and took a bite. "Would you love me if I was sweetness and light?" he said after he swallowed.

"Yes," said Anders promptly, deciding not to mention a certain weird weekend. "But it'd be bizarre."

Bel made a face. "You'd hate it," he said.

"But . . ." Anders frowned, tried to ponder this conundrum (or so he thought) for a few moments, and shook his head. "I don't know. Kind of hard to imagine not feeling that way, now."

"Yeah," Bel mused. "But admit it, you'd prefer the grr-argh demon."

Anders propped his chin up on his hand and grinned, but not a schmoopy grin.

Okay, maybe a little schmoopy.

"I do kinda love you just the way you are, yeah."

"Dork," Bel grinned back at him.

"Your dork." Anders nudged him lightly.

"Mmm hmm," Bel purred. "My dork."

"That's me," Anders said cheerfully, leaning against Bel and settling down to enjoy lunch.

Okay, maybe it's just Xander who finds the cordless drills to be sexy. NOT IN THAT WAY. Just in the gruntgrunt MORE POWER way.

...That's not helping, is it.

It is just Xander, as Stark still does not find the drill to be sexy.

Sexy might not be the word, but Bel did get a certain "Yeah, baby" out of holding the power in his hands.

For the watchings of the peoples and their sexy power tools.

He's a little preoccupied today as he wanders around checking on the equipment and lending a hand where needed. Mind on the last time he was here and what might happen to his Slayer in the near future? Just a little.

Cordless drills are not nearly as sexy as pneumatic nailguns MMMMMKAY.
