Journalism Class - Tuesday September 27

Spider is obviously absent today, although there are growling noises from beneath the desk which indicate that the cat is present. The newsfeeds are all silent and the note scrawled across the screen behind his desk reads:

Due to Electronic Difficulties, today's class on Monstering has been delayed until tomorrow. As the Interns have failed in their latest task, we will not be preparing for a field trip on Wednesday, either.

For those of you interested in a class project in learning to work together under somewhat pressing circumstances, please indicate that beside your name on today's roster and be sure your permission slips are turned in and in order. Friday, provided the Interns have finished their little errand, we'll be going on a field trip.

In the meantime, please concentrate on your homework assignment.

"You realized you just answered the 'what do you want' question, right? Cuz you just put her in your shoes, not you in hers."

There's a little gnome, somewhere in Duce's brain, beating on it with a stick and screaming 'IDIOT!' in a tiny, shrill voice.

"So you should go talk to her. Or, as you said, you should let her go. Avoiding it isn't ever going to make it better, or easier."

"She's busy." Oz looked away again. This would be a whole lot easier if he didn't love her. If she wasn't his first love. "But...I'll try. I'll...call her or something."

Duce nods in the kind of way that, with one motion of her head, says that you will in fact 'call her or something' or there will be pain involved. And not in the good third-date kind of way.

"Good. Cuz otherwise, we foresee you joining that Male Fans of Celine Dion club thing and .. really? Not your type of music. We might just have to kill you before we let you do that."

She tries to perk back up, "Well, hey, don't sweat it. It's just a dumb dance."

Oz nods, and swallows hard. "Maybe we should blow off this class today, and I'll...call her now?"

"Yeah," Duce nods, "Let's go. We'll prep the alcohol and you can do shots either before or after, depending on when you need 'em."

She stands and heads for the door.
