Study Hall -- Tuesday, September 27th

This is study hall for Tuesday. Anybody who looks even remotely zombie-like is getting set on fire.

The glowy thing pretty much snaps off. Angela isn't sure whether she should be afraid of Angelus or not; on the one hand, she'd heard the rumors, and the whole JA crowd struck her as being kind of ... off. But he was brave on Saturday, she thinks, Although that wasn't really ... him.

Probably he just had a message for Marty, maybe something about those stupid tapes.

She settles on a cautious smile. "I gues I'm fine. How are you?"

"I'm doing great," he gave her an encouraging smile back. He then motioned to her things. "Am I interrupting anything? I'd hate to bother you."

Angela, made a little uneasy by her smile, shakes her head. "I'm just trying to catch up with my geology reading. Is there, like, something I can help you with?"

"Only if it's no trouble," Angelus leaned across the table, his eyes sparkling with a promise of friendship that might not have come off as wholly geniune. He lowered his voice as though sharing a secret. "It's about Marty."

Inwardly, Angela grimaces. As much as she's come to care for Marty, she knows that his interactions with other students sometimes bear the mark of a true death wish.

Exhibit one, the videotapes. Even if they were kind of funny.

She lowers her own voice. "Is it about those stupid tapes?"

"What?" Angelus looked surprised to be asked the question. "Oh, nah. Something else. But it's a little private, you know? Is there some place where we could talk that's just us? Doesn't have to be now if you're busy."

Angela thinks about it for a minute, biting her lower lip. She can't imagine what Angelus would have to say to her about Marty that would need more privacy than study hall provided.

But she's curious.

"We could go for a walk," she offers. "FInd an empty classrom. Or ... my roommate isn't around much."

"Haven't you heard?" Angelus winked. "It's dangerous to invite big, bad, scary vampires like me into your dorm room. Classroom's fine. I'm sure we could find something just down the hall."

Angela smiles, relieved. She hadn't really wanted to let Angelus into her dorm room, but she was trying to avoid seeming biased.
