How to Annoy Your Teachers (And Not Get Turned Into Animals) [Week 7, Period 2]

Class was held in the Danger Shop today after John sent out a handwavy email. As the students entered the Danger Shop, they'll notice a more subdued John this time around. Whether it's because his most awesome class is ending or other things is a mystery. If asked, he'd blame the first one.

"Hey guys," he said, smiling. "Last class. Thanks so much for making this class so much fun for me and so annoying for the other teachers. If you've even managed to make a teacher frown in annoyance than my job here is done."

He managed a small smile. "For the last class, I was going to have us all go lob bombs but someone," he said, looking at Sokka, "already did that. So, we're going to annoy someone special."

John grinned. "Hope you guys have had fun. I know I have."

[Ping into the assignment thread, if you'd like, and I'll be pinging in the special guest as I can for you to annoy. Thanks for being a great class!]

"Now, how can you say you are not lucky? She must love you very much, to take such care with her appearance!" Internally, he was boggling that anyone would spend so much time on their hair, but he didn't let it show.

"No, was I supposed to?" Now Karal was just confused, but he rallied. "Oh! Did you want some help painting something? Maybe a nice new colour in your room as a gift for your wife? I am sure she would really enjoy it!" It's possible he was starting to annoy himself, but he kept on smiling.

"Why wouldn't I be cheerful? It is a glorious day, I have made a," lying would be good here, he told himself, but he had a feeling this was working, "pleasant new acquaintance who has a wonderful wife. If I am lucky she might arrive and I will be able to meet her as well!"

Karal didn't actually know what a devil was, but was fairly certain it was nothing good. "How can you say that?" He feigned shock and sadness. "She makes herself beautiful for you, she is special, unique, even. She can change the weather, for Sunlord's sake! I would consider it an honour to meet her."

He felt slightly bad about what he was about to do, but John had said they were to annoy the guest. "Oh, excellent," he said, looking over Wilbur's shoulder and beaming. "Is that her?"

Wilbur really wasn't very nice, he decided. He suddenly felt far less guilty, and quite sorry for his wife. "Now, Wilbur," he made sure he said the quite loudly and he kept looking over Wilbur's shoulder. He even waved at the...person who wasn't there. "Surely you want to share this lovely morning with her. She is your wife, after all! Which makes you luckier than anyone else, because only you have her as a wife. No one else in the whole world is able to experience that!"

Karal blushed brightly at the praise and looked down at the desk, smiling much more naturally. "Thank you," he said, glancing up at John. "I was not certain if that approach would work."

Karal nodded, laughing a little. "I would hope not! Honestly, I was beginning to annoy myself, being so cheerful. But I am happy I was able to complete the last assignment."

"He actually has a wife?" he asked, quite surprised. "I was wondering if she even existed. Hoping she didn't, because he was not very nice."

"So, Wilbur was a holo you created to annoy a teacher, and then you gave him to us to annoy." Karal grinned. "That seems very elegant."

Karal studied him for a bit, putting the pieces together. "That teacher wouldn't happen to be the inspiration for this class, would she?"

"...turned you into animals?" He gaped. "Truly?"

"That is--" He was lost for words. "I guess I can understand why you would wish to annoy someone who did that to you," he finally said. "I thought that part of the class name was simply you being, umm, colourful. I didn't realise it was actually a possibility,"

"So I am learning," Karal said lightly. "So I am learning. This was a good class, and you were a good teacher. Thank you."
